Everyone has that thin film of dust over a part of a memory
It usually blocks out the unpleasant events residing there
Like a parasite, sucking the fun out of the way
A day gone wrong at the end,
But it was one of the best they had lived
A heart break followed by a kiss and a warm embrace
That heart break goes, but the love-kissed warm embrace will always stay
A new toy in the afternoon, but broken before the evening could say hello
But right here, the film of dust will cover it all
No one likes to recall the ecstasy felt right before the hard fall
Too much disappointment just after feeling on top of the world
That's the way to the hollowness a person can become
Rock hard heart, because emotions can lead to a fancy isle
But no lover is holding out a hand
Just a pretty coffin with a name that will be forgotten
Or so they thought
Petty, how much they lost
A mother's love
A father's pride
A sister's closeness
A brother's protectiveness
A friend's craziness
Being drawn as heroes with their children's crayons
That film of dust takes time to clear
Years of layers built up a gear
All gears are breakable
We just need the right angle to aim the spear
