A Miracle Girl

Chapter 1

      Today is my last day here in Philippines and my flight is at 9 in the evening. So I decided to meet with my friends when I was in grade 9 and 10. We decided to meet at the near coffee shop in the city.

"Beshie, we will miss you." Carie hug me for a second until she let go and got greeted by my partner in crime.

"Detective Zash, I will miss our code breaking doings." Amber pouted within her heart, I can see she really do miss me after all the bond we did.

"Bye Lyn. I'll miss you." Joy respond as well, giving her sweetest smile to me.

"Okay guys lets celebrate first okay!" I replied back giving them a smile before I turn my attention to my cup of coffee.

"Wait! There is only one person left. Lets wait for him." Joy retorted.

"What? Who? A boy?"

I ask many question as the door of the restaurant opens and reveal my crush...Jace Kingsley. Yeah its been a long time since I saw him.

"Hi Lyn" he bid smiling from ear to ear. I feel like there is something wrong, I can feel it.

"Jace? Why are you here?"

I am so shock from the very beginning when he entered the cafe. I don't know my friends invited him.

"Why? Is it wrong to visit my friend?" He ask, there is really something wrong with him. The way he ask as if he's hurt, but I don't know why?

'Ouch. I was just a friend to him'  that hurts!

"Nope! You can visit me any time." I forced to smile wide for him to see that I wasn't hurt but I think he would believe it.

"Okay stop those cheesy conversation, ants will surrounded you two." Carie interrupted the tension between us.

Carie,Joy and Amber head home and the only one left is Jace and me. Why am I always left behind with this guy? I hate it!

"So, you'll leave Manila?" He ask not even looking at me.

"Yeah. I'll leave for my sake not to be hurt by you." I murmured.

"What did you say?" He ask again now looking at me.

"Ahh nothing!"

I jump in shock and panic at the same time. I don't know what to do when I am around him, it's just that it seems so awkward between us.

I look at my watch and saw the time and its already 6 pm.

"Ahh, Jace, I have to go."

I run as far as I can away from him avoiding not to look back until I reach my car. I went in to my car to start it but then, a hand stop me.

"Please don't leave." He begged. He has this face that I really can't avoid, but I tried my best to look forward to avoid my self being hurt again by the same guy.

"I am sorry but I have to go."

I tried to free my hand from his grip but he hug me and said.

"I am sorry that I didn't realized it earlier, it has to be like this to realize that I like you." He confessed. He f*cking confessed!

"I like you too but you hurt me, you hurt my feelings back then. Others said 'you will only realize the importance of the people around you when they were gone'. I am sorry but it's over, my feelings for you are gone." I said as he free my body from his hug. I don't like it, I don't want to be hurt again.
