I knew that what I was going to see was going to pain me.
I knew that what I was going to see was going to hurt me.
I knew that what I was going to see was going to kill me.
But I had to see him, no matter what the consequences will/might be. There were only two beds in the room, both occupied by two boys. I didn't focus on one, I focused on the other.
The bed wrapped around in plastic. The one that looked like a table standing diagonally upward. The one that had tubes sticking out in every direction possible. The one that had a boy that looked like he was floating. The one that held him. My boy. MINE.
I dashed to his side, crying my eyes out I couldn't keep myself from kissing him all over his face. My tears stained his blood-stained mission suit.
His face was in so much pain. So much.
So much. So much...
Pain.
I collapsed into sobs, and fell next to his bed, holding his hand tightly, and sobbed until my body racked.

Bree's Pov
Once she collapsed on the side of his bed, we all broke out of our trance.
Davenport looked ashen and somber to the point not thought possible.
Tasha kept on crying to the point were she ran out of tears.
Leo clenched and unclench his fists, tears running out of his eyes.
Adam stared on at his brother like there was no end.
My state was the same as hers, but I had no idea what was going on around me. All the family hugged and stayed tight together. Then, one by one, we each ran out of the room.
First, she ran the same way she collapsed on his bed.
Then, he ran to a somber point to collect his thoughts.
Then, she ran out crying like a baby without a mom.
Then, he punched his way threw us with his clenched fists, missing each time.
Finally, he stared on, and ran out trying to keep his tears in check.
I stayed next to him, until a hand touched my shoulder.
A bright, warm, loving, kind, hand.
I touched his hand, because I knew no one payed attention to him, because he was there. Because he was also in pain.
Because no one payed attention to him.
Because he protected him with his life.
I cried into his chest throughout the night.
