You & I

The First Thought

She woke up. And the first thing she thought of was him.

She turned over and looked at her phone in an instant. His calm state soothes and relaxes her. His handsome face wrapped up in his covers made her smile even more. All she wanted to do was reach out and wrap her arms around him and cuddle for the rest of the morning. But she couldn't. She sighed. If only, she thought.

She got up and dressed for school. After getting ready she grabbed her phone and said "I love you. Going to school baby. I'll talk to you soon." In response he said, "I love you," and she smiled hearing his sleepy and adorable voice.

She hung up and felt an empty feeling in her stomach. She hated being away from him. As selfish as it sounded she wanted him all to herself 24/7 like some crazy clingy girl. She always told herself that she wouldn't be like that, but he changed her world. She felt like she couldn't be without him. He made her laugh and smile, but most importantly, he made her love. Something she thought she wasn't capable of.

She loved everything about him. His radiant smile, gorgeous hair, and mesmerizing eyes. Those eyes especially. She could stare at them all day and she'd be the happiest girl in the world.

He was a dream. The most perfect man she could ask for.

During chemistry, she started texting him. Their fast escalation in their relationship was terrifying but invigorating. She never felt this was towards a boy. It made her wonder, was he the one? Could he make her happy for the rest of her life. She answered yes in a heartbeat.

She knew what she wanted. Him.

She was only 16, but she knew this was what true love felt like. Wanting to spend the rest of her life with him. Her one and only. With the one she could count on no matter what. The one who made her heart skip a beat every time he called her beautiful. The one she wanted to be successful with. The one she wanted to raise babies and have dogs with- specifically and Akita, Golden Retriever, and a Husky. She had it all planned out.

They were going to love each other for the rest of their lives. For better or worse.
