"Hey. I'm sorry for how I acted earlier." Jace sighed, running a hand through his hair.
I sat up on the bed in order to properly face him.
"It's okay babe. I'm sorry too-"
"No," Jace cut me off, "you don't have to feel sorry for anything. It was my fault. I should've been more excited to see our friends."
I pulled Jace into a hug, his smell wafting into my nose.
"No baby. Don't blame yourself. I should've considered your feelings too."
I pulled away, a soft smile on my face as I looked into his eyes. "I have a question though. What made you change your mind about today? You were so excited to meet with them a couple days ago...."
"I don't know what got into me, I guess I was just tired. I didn't get enough sleep last night."
I nodded.
"Is everything alright?"
There was a slight pause before Jace answered.
"Yeah. I'm fine."
Why won't you look me in the eye?
Are you lying?
"Okay."
I pushed away my thoughts.
Jace will tell me what's bothering him when he feels comfortable enough.
"Let's go to bed now, okay? You're probably exhausted."
Jace waited until I was lying down before he laid down beside me.
"Yeah. Adam dragged us around the park the whole day. He was really excited."
A smile spread across my features asI recalled the events from today."
Jace looked at me with a shocked expression.
"Adam came?"
"Yeah. Is there something wrong with that?"
"No. It's just that he told me that his parent's were throwing a party so he couldn't come..."
"Well, maybe he found a way to get out of it?"
"Maybe."
