Later that night I sit on my couch with a box of Chinese takeout. My hair is damp and up in a messy bun and I'm in my pajamas watching E News waiting to see if they have anything on about Shawn and I.

Shawn Mendes has been spotted earlier today with a mystery beauty downtown Los Angeles. They looked really cute and comfortable together as they went in and out of clothes shops putting on fashion shows for each other. They even stopped to get some fro-yo looking more than happy together! No word yet on who this brunette beauty is but we can only hope we see these two out together more often! And just when were beginning to think he and 18 year old Julia Kelly were together! We had more than enough reason to think they were together when they were getting cozy at Tay Swift's birthday party only weeks ago.

Minutes later I receive a text so I lean across the couch to grab my phone.

Nobody told me about anything happening tomorrow? The grey bubble appears and disappears in the bottom corner so I assume he's busy. Finally the text comes through.

a new years eve party. Denise wants us to go to dinner then we'll be going to the party around 9:00. I'm not sure why she didn't tell you.

ME
hm, i dunno but thank you
for letting me know.

SHAWN MENDES
no problem, I'll see you tomorrow
then.

ME
alright, goodnight.

I look at the time and see it's almost 11 so I decide if I want to get any sleep tonight I better go to bed now because I have no idea when Denise or Marissa will text me tomorrow since they neglected doing it tonight to give me a heads up. I turn my tv off, walk into the kitchen and throw away my now empty food box then pad into my bathroom, brush my teeth then I climb into bed.

The next morning I'm waken up half past seven o'clock, not by my phone but by my neighbors arguing loudly. I sigh and climb out of bed, deciding I should take a shower I grab a bra and some underwear out of my dresser then a pair of shorts and a plain black t-shirt. Again, there's no sense in dressing up if I'm going to have to change later on.

Once I'm in the shower I allow the hot water to wake me up then I wash my hair and body. After shaving I hop out and wrap myself in a towel and my hair in another. I walk out into my room and check my phone seeing I have two new messages from Marissa and Denise, both telling me the plans for today.

Felicity, Charlie and JJ will be coming by at 4:00 to get you ready to out to dinner with Shawn tonight. Afterwards you will be attending a New Years party together. We want you to stay close to each other tonight and appear close. No known press will be there so we expect you and Shawn to take personal pictures that will be uploaded to your social media accounts. You're allowed to and are expected to hug, hold hands and kiss on the cheek. Nothing beyond that.
