"Wanna try?" Jack says and throws the basketball at me. I catch it and try to shoot for the basket but I was totally off.
"Oops." I say and cover my face embarrassingly. Jack laughs at me and then chases for the ball. Me and Jack have been having this little ‘flirt war’ thing going on for awhile now and it’s driving me crazy. like i want to kiss him so badly but i cant because we’re not dating. Jack is such a sweetheart and i love it when we do these kind of things after school.
"Here, let me teach you some form." Jack says and stands behind me. His body is on mine as his arms reach over my arms. He lets me hold the ball as we reach over my head and shoot the ball into the basket. Swish. I was amazed by how good i got in just 2 minutes.
"Wow! You’re really good at this!" I say and look at Jack. he started blushing and looks away.
"Well…" Jack says shyly and walks over to the swingset in his backyard. He sits down and I sit on the one beside him.
"Whats wrong?" I ask Jack. I see his arms tense up and then he bends over so his elbows are propped on his legs.
"Ive been thinking about some things. You know…my career, family, and school." jack says as he continues to look down to the grass. "I also have been thinking about…love." Jack continues. He looks at me and holds my hand.
"(y/n), I’ve been wanting to ask you for a long time but was waiting for the right time. Um will you be my girlfriend?" Jack asks with a nervous smile. I put my other hand on his hand and stand up from the swing.
"Yes Jack. I would love to be your girlfriend!" I say to jack as he stands up from his swing and kisses me. Ive been waiting for this moment and it finally happened, a kiss from Jack Gilinsky. A loud beep from the driveway breaks the kiss and that was my cue to leave.
"I have to go." I say and grab my bag then head for the car.
"I’ll call you tonight." Jack says just before i exit his backyard. I nod my head and then wave goodbye.
