Loki's lips parted as he went to respond but couldn't find the right words.

"I have to tell you because maybe there's a way to stop it from happening."

"I don't want to know." Loki blurted out.

Alice scoffed as she furrowed her brow. Did she just hear him right?

"Even though I know how you die, you don't want me to tell you?" She retorted.

Loki walked towards Alice and took her hands in his, running his thumb over the skin.

"Never tell me."

"But we could stop it! We could stop it from happening!"

"How do you know that?" He chuckled harshly, tears forming in his eyes.

"I don't know for sure but it's a possibility. This vision... your death has been the most clear vision I've ever had. I know Thanos is going to attack and when you see him you-"

"Stop!"

Alice panted heavily, allowing the tears to fall from her face. Loki took her face in his hands, wiping away her tears with his thumb as they fell down her cheeks.

"Don't tell me anything else."

"This could save you. If you know how and when, you could stop it. We could stop it." Alice's voice shook.

"Who's to say we do evade my death and then what happens? We cannot mess with our fate, Alice. You know the origins of our seidr. If you meddle in anyone's fate... you could distort your seidr. You could alter all of our lives."

"So I just have to sit idly by knowing that you'll die and Thanos will have the space stone?"

"Yes." Loki admitted honestly.

"I can't do that. Please, just let me tell you how!"

"No! Mother warned me about things like this," He confessed. "When teaching me seidr, she taught me the origins of it all and warned me about things like this. She told me about one of the first seidr wielders. Hillevi spent years perfecting the skill and was very similar to Heimdall in that she was in control of everyone's fate except her own. She went all over Asgard teaching others her skill. However, upon meeting a prospective student, she saw their fate and saw that they would grow to be more powerful than her and kill her. Hillevi refused to teach them no matter how many times they asked. One day, Hillevi found the person sleeping in their home and murdered them. She had changed not only their fate, but her own. She was alive when she wasn't supposed to be. As a result, wars broke out and thousands of Asgardians died... and she had been unable to see what the fate of Asgard was to become. She had caused thousands of deaths and wars to rage on and lost her powers because she tried to control fate."

Alice shook her head and let out a sob as Loki held her head in place.

"I know you want to tell me, but you can't. If you do, you could lose your power of sight. You could... who knows what would happen if you told me?"

"So, I can tell people these visions of mine, yet never do anything about them? Loki, please, let me just tell you."

"No. I can't let you do that. You have something special and I wouldn't want you to risk losing it. I don't want you to end up like Hellevi." He told her.

"I can't lose you. I can't." Alice whimpered.

"If it's to happen, we can't change it."

"Do you really not want me to say anything?"
