Chapter 1

The losers club all stand behind Mike as he knocks on the Kaspbrack's door and it swings open.

"Hey!" Mrs. Kaspbrack says turning to look at Eddie how was sitting on the couch "Eddie, your friends are here." She says sweetly.

A couple seconds of waiting and Stanley humming a bit Eddie comes bouncing out the door, he greets everyone with hugs and hellos.

"Come back when it's sun set!" Mrs. K calls as Eddie and his friends get on their bikes "Okay mom!" Eddie calls behind his before she closes the door "Be save Eddie bear!" She calls before closing the door all of the way.

"Hey, where's Richie?" Eddie asked as he followed everyone on their bikes.

"He's waiting for us at the ice cream parlor!" Bill yelled behind him as he sped up, causing a giant race with the group. They all laughed as they rode.

Bev winning, they finally arrived to the parlor "Took you losers long enough!" He said putting his palms up "Shut up Richie" Eddie said annoyed slightly but trying not to laugh or something.

"Yea shut up. At least we aren't like, two hours late like you on movie night!" Ben exclamied, making everyone laugh except Richie.

"Yea whatever." He said rushing to the door "last one in is paying!" He said as everyone followed, Eddie stayed behind, he actually wanted to pay for everyone, it made him feel good to help friends.

After a couple of minutes everyone walks out of the parlor and stands in the rather large Ally next to it, watching the parade as it went by from afar. They all thanked Eddie for paying.

"Yea it's no problem." He said throwing a penny that was apart of the cash cash aside. Richie ran over and picked it up "oh look Eds! Good luck!" He said walking over and resting his elbow on Eddie's shoulder.

"Don't call me that" he mumbled feeling heat rise to  his soft cheeks. Richie gave a soft smile as he looked at Eddie. Bev leaned over and whispered something into Bill's ear, they both laughed loudly, soon Bill passed the message and the entire group was laughing other than Eddie and Richie who hadn't been told.

Eddie furrowed his eyebrows and accidentally dropped his ice cream "No!!!! Damnit." He mumbled running a hand though his hair.

"Here have mine." Richie said staring at Eddie waiting for an answer "Ew, no! You've had your mouth on that you really think I'd take that!?" Eddie said crossing his arms.

Mike was the first to stop laughing "Hey guys, quarry?" He asked going over to his bike, Eddie instantly nodded and ran over to his bike, leaving Richie to almost fall since his weight was on Eddie. Eddie quickly rode off and was the first to the quarry, having to use his inhaler twice.

Everyone else came at least five minutes later to see Eddie had already stripped down to his boxers and was sitting on a rock "Well, took a long enough" Eddie said staring at a flower as he saw everyone's feet.

"Oh sorry Spaghetti!" Richie called from the back of the group before Eddie got up and walked to the edge and without hesitation, immeditly jumping in. Everyone gasped slightly at Eddie's sudden movement and courage.

Soon they all followed, one by one, Richie being last. He stared over the edge, his eyes kept wandering to Eddie, who was staring up at him "Come on Rich!" Eddie finally yelled, waving him down.

Richie finally gathered enough courage to jump off the tall cliff, he jumped off after taking off his glasses slowly and putting them in Eddie's fanny pack.

The water was warm and made you feel happy and safe. Richie swam over to Eddie who had both his hands up for high fives, they high fived but Richie intertwined their fingers slowly, as everyone started to stare. Eddie looked at the two's hands and felt his cheeks heat up as a bright red tint spread over his nose and cheeks.

They stayed there for a second just starting at each other until Bev yelled "REDDIE FOR THE WIN!" and splashed the two, soon starting an entire splash war between the losers club.

After everyone got out of the water Richie looked around "W-what are you l-looking for R-richie?" Bill asked to break the silence "Uh my glasses." He said, he had completely forgotten where he put them. Eddie opened his fanny pack to grab something and lifted some thick black rimmed glasses and started in a fit of laughter.

"F-found them Ri-Rich!" Eddie said between laughs and soon everyone else was laughing, this time including Richie.

"Yea I put them in there to keep them from getting wet." He mumbled after they were all walking around town and looking in the windows of stores.

"It's ok!" Eddie exclamied, the two boys were in the back of the crowd having a full on coversation. Eddie looked down at his shoes as he walked with Richie.
