Details

Gabriel always had a keen eye. He noticed everything, even the slightest mood change.

He was as well very detailed when drawing. He would add specifically what he wanted on his papers, and make sure it wasn't bland.

Most people who knew him and liked him knew he was very detailed when it came to relationships.

When Gabriel was around eight years old, he began crushing on a boy from his class.

He would buy him chocolates and flowers whenever they'd walk home from school and even suprise him with candy and toys.

"Gabriel, you're spending quite alot of money on your friend." His mother watched Gabriel take cash out of his piggy bank again.

"I want him to like me."

"But he does. You're both very good friends." She smiled.

"No.. I... I like him mommy. I want him to like me back."

"Oh!" She gasped. "My little boy is so thoughtful!"

"Do you think Richard will like me back?"

"Of course he will gabey." His mother kissed his nose. "Who wouldn't want such a sweet, thoughtful boy who takes care of every detail as a boyfriend?"

Gabriel blushed in delight. "I'm going to buy him a teddy bear and draw him a picture."

"Aww Gabriel." She smiled. "You're so detailed."

Months went by until Gabriel was ready to ask him out. He gathered all his courage and handed him a couple of flowers. "Will you be my boyfriend?" He blushed and looked away nervously.

"Oh Gabriel, I'd love to, but I'm moving to America... I don't think a long distance relationship will last anyway. I'm sorry. I always enjoyed your details and gifts. Here's my gift." Richard gave Gabriel a long sweet kiss. "Bye Gabriel, I have to go." He smiled and left running with the flowers.

Gabriel went home crying and locked himself up in his room. "All these details for nothing?!" He sobbed.

"Gabriel honey what's wrong?" His mother stepped into the room quietly rubbed her stomach.

"Richard is leaving to America!" He sobbed.

"Oh Gabriel... Did you two say goodbye?"

"Yes we did." He sniffled. "He kissed me and left."

His mother smiled. "Don't you think that's the sweetest detail anyone can ever give you?"

"Yea but... I miss him."

"Sometimes it's for the best." His mother hugged him and smiled. "You might see him again someday." His mother rubbed his hair. "Don't give up hope on losing your details."
