"Aaliyah, baby, breakfast is served"

"Im coming" I yell down the stairs, I grab my cheerleading bag with my uniform, my pompoms, and a pair of shorts for practice. Then i grabbed my bookbag and a paper my mom had signed the night before, and ran down stairs almost tripping and dropping everything. I swear all of this is 100+ pounds all together.

"Mami, are you going to pick me up?" My parents have been wanting to buy me a car since a year ago. Im going to be 16 this year on November 15 so I think its about time. But they say I'm not responsible enough because of my grades, they also claim i have an attitude. So i either ride the bus or get picked up. Fun right?

"No, I'm working late today baby, and so is your dad, i think we'll be home around 9:30, diners in the fridge"

"Thank ya" yea thank ya no thank ya, I'm eating with Bryan today.

"Your welcome hun" she said as she kissed my forehead while I'm in the middle of swallowing dry cereal since there was no milk today. "Be good, ok?"

"Ok"

Don't get me wrong, I love my parents, but their a handful. They've always expected for me to be so much, but theres a very limited capacity in me. They've made my life more difficult then it really needs to be while they were trying to make it easier. We always fight, and since their so uptight, were always getting into unesesary fights like, why didn't you do your laundry, or why are there shoes all over your floor, or why are you wearing that shirt again. But I've gotten used to it

Anyways, first day of school, yay. Im sorta lucky to have friends from all grades so that each year i don't get put in an awkward position. Im actually not an awkward person, I'm pretty social.

A lot of people when they got into high school and got into sports and became popular and whatnot, like Lexi, people started to become shitty and separate everyone, me and Lexi used to be friends, she sorta cut it off because we both wanted to be head cheerleaders and she felt the need to end a friendship. Immature Much? But its whatever.

By now I'm on the bus and since my best friend Kassandra wasn't on the bus i sat by friend Marvin. Marvin was that friend that i don't remember how we met or when we met, we just knew each other for the longest. We didn't have the best friend typa thing, it was more of a brother and sister thing. We weren't close, like i didn't tell him everything, but we always argue and mess around.

"What you got for first period"

"Uh," it was some strange name. "Frantalister"

"Yeah, me too"

Ok, one person i know.

We got off the bus and i was suddenly feeling clustered, hug after hug and then people asking me how my summer was like they didn't see me inbetween. I was pretty anxious to see Jeremy, but my hope went out the window when i thought about alexis being with Jeremy.

"So wheres our room Marvs?"

"Um, I dont know i th-" he paused knowing that i really wasn't listening to him "Ok thanks for the attemtion"

"Shut up, i'll be right back"

I walked over to Jeremy who was staring at me grinning at one moment and looking at his shoes the next.
