I walked and walked only to realize I had been walking in circles!  It was a stupid thing to do, but strangely, it made me feel a little better. I proceeded to do that with almost all of my surroundings. I kicked maybe, ten rocks or so, about seven dying trees, and a pile of leaves. I felt a lot better after my little rampage. It was almost like telling the Forest, You don't scare me! Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a pair of black shoes with red laces. Minty! I started to run after her yelling "Minty! Minty! wait up! It's me, Sparkle. Minty turned around with her finger on her lips. I could see the fear in her eyes. Minty never showed her fear. I'd known her all my life and she would always keep her feelings of fear inside.  "Minty" I whispered hoarsely, my voice trembling. "What did he do to you" She opened her mouth as if she was about to say something. Then raised her trembling hand and pointed behind me. I slowly turned on my heels to see Slender Man.

"RUN!" I shouted. We ran as fast we could. I ignored the sharp pain in my side, and I didn't stop running until I reached the shack me and Minty were in before. I doubled over, trying to catch my breath.I could feel the adrenalin pumping through my veins. Me and minty went inside the shack and locked the door. We went into the back room, where the painting was. Except there was a new addition to the room, a note. It read:

There's no use in hiding. No one has escaped from me. Ever. I can easily track you down. I know exactly where you will go and what your next move is. You won't escape.

"Sparkle" Minty said. "Yes Minty?" I replied. "If he catches me run, run as fast you can if anyone should die it's me." she said. "What?" I practically shouted. "You have been the best friend ever and I will not let you die" "Thank you Sparkle" She said "That means a lot."

I looked at her and studied her expression. There was fear, hope, and despair in her eyes. Her mouth was in a slight frown and her face was pale. That was moment I decided to do my best to comfort her and stay Strong.
