Maddie's pov

I brought her where no one could hear us, and I.......I couldn't do it. i saw the fear in her eyes and it broke me, I heard her scream and I died inside.

"my kids, what if i die and my kids are alone!" she said but, she wasnt talking. I just couldn't take this girl's life. I dropped my machette and simply said:

"run....before he finds you here." reffering to slender. she nodded..

"thank you so much!" she said and ran away. she had left her wallet.

huh, that sounded familiar. oh well, ill bring it back to slender. I walked over to ben.

"happened to me the first time too ya know. its not always easy to kill someone if you think about it. that's why I don't, I just act." he said

"I know,I was too weak. I just, didn't want to take away her life." I sighed. "I could see it I her eyes, she is a mother." I said.

"wait, a what? how could you know that?" he asked.

"I don't know but its almost like she was telling me 'my kids, what if I die and my kids are alone' without actually talking." I said.

"wait, you read her mind? only the slender family can do that." he told me.

"wait, what!" I yelled. "if I'm related to him I would know! he also would have told me!" I saw ben become smaller with everything around me, I felt a sharp pain everywhere on my back.

"babe...calm down. please." he said, with fear in his voice.

"WHY?! SO YOU CAN TELL ME IM RELATED TO SOMEONE ELSE TOO!!" I yelled.

"babe, please calm down, you....you're flying!" he said. I looked down and he was right, I was high off the ground and I saw a....a tentical?! I looked back and it was a long, black tentical coming from my back alng with 5 others exactly like it.

"GAHHHHH" I yelled in pain. you try having tenticals grow from your back for the first time. it hurts. I calmed down and I felt my feet touch the ground. The pain was unbearable. finally, it all stopped. the pain, the flying, the rage, the confusion. only one thing was going through my mind.

I knew I had to talk to him, tell him about this. but one thing.....how?
