Two motorbikes crossed the huge destroyed bridge with incredible speed. They both were dyed in a dull black which wouldn't reflect any light in the darkness. Both the drivers wore black leather clothes and equally dull black helmets. There were little headsets attached to them so they could communicate with each other.

"You really think it's a good idea to go to them?" the second driver asked, as they drove.

"Yes." the first one simply replied, leaving no room for doubt.

"Seriously... it's bullsh*t to keep a headquarter intact with no demons around." the second one still voiced his doubts. "I bet we'll arrive and find an abandoned ruin!"

"They will be there." the first one just calmly replied. Obviously, he didn't share his partner's opinion.

"I hope that's not just wishful thinking..." the second one sighed into the microphone. But as far as he knew his partner, his opinion was based on some kind of hidden facts which he simply didn't share.

To his surprise, he got an answer though. "They are the only ones who might actually believe us. We have no other choice."

After a while they turned right into an industrial park and bit by bit left the remains of civizilation behind. No inhabited houses anymore... only abandoned warehouses and a few street lamps which didn't work anymore. But of course they wouldn't. After all this was the place, where the massive cascade of light burst free and destroyed all the demons on earths surface a few years ago. And this was exactly the place where they were headed. It was just surprising some fanatic people didn't turn this place into a shrine or a pilgrimage site.

It took the two drivers a few more turns until they finally reached one of the warehouses which seemed even worse off than the others. The ground had burn marks and the area around it was almost completely destroyed. Surprisingly though, the roller shutter seemed perfectly intact, as well as all the windows and the roof. Maybe the building had somehow been protected? And... there was a faint warm light shining through the windows. The motorbikes stopped and as the engines died down, a strange kind of silence filled the air. Then, the two men got off their machines and shoved them closer towards the roller shutter.

"The sun is setting." the first one said as he pulled his helmet off. Underneath, a pale serious face framed by black bangs became visible. Cold grey eyes watched the other man, as he pulled off his helmet too. This one seemed to be the complete opposite of him. His hair was blond and messy and his bright blue eyes sparkled with life. His skin had a light tan, as if he had lived in the south for a long time once and the color never really faded.

"Let's get in then." the blonde replied and walked towards the warehouse, his bike by his side. The ravenhaired man followed him.

"Now what, are we gonna knock?" the blond man asked with a mischievous smirk. "Like some wellbehaved guests?"

Instead of an answer, the blackhaired man pulled out a cellphone and dialed a certain number. As someone seemed to pick up the call, he said: "Open this door of yours. Now." On the other end, someone seemed to be talking quickly, but the ravenhaired brushed him off. "Now. The sun is setting." And surprisingly, his opponent went silent and ended the call. Instead, the roller shutter slowly began to rise and they could roll their bikes in.

"Jonah." a voice calmly said from inside.

"Caelan." the ravenhaired replied equally calm.

"You DO know that the night no longer holds any danger, yes?" Caelan asked with raised eyebrow.

But before Jonah could answer, a female voice suddenly squealed: "Whoa! It's two Caelans! Reev, Leon, come take a look!" A tiny woman with bouncing red curls dashed towards them and eyed them with huge beaming eyes. She wore an oil-covered overall and her cheeks were smeared with some motor oil too. In her hand, she held a huge wrench.
