Yuna took her last sip of coffee and pushed herself out of her chair. It was a Friday night and only her and a few other staff were finishing up in the office.
Finally- she thought. She waved goodbye to Mel, her closest office buddy, also the ex of her current position (awkward) and ran to the bus stop.
Lilianne wanted her back early today and she was no one near it.
Yuna, Lili and Jisoo were inseparable souls who found each other within the first few days of uni.
They all studied arts- Lili did dance and song writing, Jisoo did still life painting and poetry whilst Yuna did drama and singing.Finding a job was difficult and none of them were happy with their current ones.
Lili was working at her dad's pharmacy to get some money to continue with dance practice and Jisoo held a painting club for children down the road of their apartment.
At least they were doing something close to their qualification. Yuna was the PA of Mr N, the owner of a huge media and photography company Frutee which frequently takes up ads and commercials. The most Yuna has put her degree to use is whenever Mr N would need a "wife" at his conferences to gain more trust from the partnering companies.
Yuna reached home and used her keys to get in. Lili was sat cross legged on the sofas with her laptop.
"Yuna! I have some great news"
"Where's Jisoo?", she opened the fridge to grab a cold drink and sat on one of the bar stools in their kitchen. Lili hopped towards her with excitement, her two super frizzy black bunchies either side of her head bouncing along.
"She's in the shower. Basicallyyyy.. you know that guy I started talking to on fb?", her eyes almost lit up.
"Yes...", Yuna hoped it wasn't something stupid.
"Well, he's DJing a KPOP night tomorrow and wanted us to come", she peered at Yuna who stopped mid slurp. "Us?". Lili nodded. "Is this a good idea?"
The bathroom door clicked open and Jisoo stepped out with wet brown strands of hair sticking to her top. "Hey Yuna"
Yuna got up, took Lili's laptop onto her lap and sat on the sofa. Lili followed.
"Soo did you hear about this?", she asked concerned, her eyes focused on the screen. She typed in "Hoseok" in the search bar. "Yeah, I didn't mind going. It's just like any other KPOP clubbing night but we would know the DJ", she winked and went into her room.
Lili gently sat on the arm of Yuna's sofa and leaned in. "He's so hot..", she sighed dreamily. "Yeah yeah okay, no bad intentions!", Yuna clapped Lili out of her thoughts. "So what do you think? He invited us to pres too"
Yuna slumped in her seat and sighed. "Okayyy. Who's this?", Yuna came across a picture of Hoseok with another guy in a dimly lit club- slightly shorter but just as pleasing to the eyes. "Oh, that's Yoongi. They work together a lot especially when it comes to rap lyrics."
"Is pres at a stranger's house a good idea?", what Lili said earlier only registered for Yuna now.
"Well he's not a stranger. Lili's been talking to him through a screen for the last 2 months", Jisoo walked back in and sat opposite Yuna. They both giggled. Lili slapped Yuna's arm, "I'm serious, let's just go. Please?"
"Fine. But we have to be back early. Mr N wants me at 9am on Sunday"
"To be his wife?", Jisoo grunted. Lili walked to the kitchen to start prepping dinner.
"Pshtt what else would it be on a Sunday?", Yuna rolled her eyes and placed the laptop away.

Jisoo and Yuna knew Lili was interested in Hoseok so they let her dress better than them. Yuna lost interest in finding a boyfriend since her last one in first year of uni where the jerk cheated on her with a final year chemistry student. Jisoo on the other hand would love to find a guy but was too shy or awkward to continue any potential interaction with anyone.
They approached Hoseok's flat at 8:30pm, the music could be heard through the weak, wooden door. A girl opened the door and grinned. Well, that is definitely not Hoseok!
"Come in", she barely waited to finish her welcome before she turned around and disappeared into the swarm of bopping heads. Jisoo and Lili walked ahead but Yuna always has the need to remove her shoes before entering any home, even if the floor had alcohol and sweat all over it like this one.
She leaned against a door on the side which looked like a shoe closet to remove her shoes- it wasn't. It was a room and the door wasn't closed. Yuna ended up swinging into the room and landed thud on the floor.
"OOWWW!", she sat up, rubbing her right knee and elbow and looked up to see a guy and girl staring right at her. The guy had long, black hair roughly styled and swept, the buttons of his scruffy shirt undone and belt hanging limply around his muscular butt.
They were definitely in the middle of something.
No one said a word. The girl pushed the guy away and brushed through her ginger bob. Yuna tried to look way as soon as she could, scrambled onto her feet and left the room.
"Yuna where were you?", Lili grabbed Yuna's elbow and brought her to the counter at the kitchen. She still wasn't over what she saw. What was this place? Why did I allow us to come here? I need to take Lili out as soon as possible! "This is Hoseok", Yuna smiled and gave her hand, genuinely happy he wasn't catfishing them with the photos on fb.
"I'll catch you guys later? Come and dance", he winked at Lili and walked to the group of people dancing. The music causing ripples in the soju shots.
Yuna pulled Lili who was mesmerised by his wink and nearly followed his lead to dance, "We need to leave"
"What? This is not what we agreed Yuna"
"I'm serious, this place is very dodgy!", Yuna pushed away the shots Lili was trying to feed her. "Okay we'll be leaving early anyway, don't worry". She didn't understand.
"Soo, tell her", Yuna turned to Jisoo with a worried expression. "Okay just stay with us. Dance?"
Yuna shook her head and pulled a shot glass towards her, "You guys go dance, I'll sit here". They both left as Yuna watched them disappear. The sudden image of the half dressed boy flashed in front of her eyes. He actually looked furious for being disturbed.
Urgh.
She shook her head and gulped down the shot. One shot wasn't enough. She took another and one more. She slammed the glass on the counter and kept her head down. But she felt eyes on her, from a distance.
A palette of mini hamburgers was placed gently in front of her. She looked up to see a work of art softly smiling at her- holy meatballs. His smooth, porcelain skin and plump lips so welcoming. His shoulders almost engulfing his small head. His blonde hair neatly parted on the side.
"Shots with no food is bad for you", he edged the hamburgers closer to her. She looked at the hamburgers and him alternatively, lips parted at the beautiful sight. She managed to smile and take one. "I'm Jin".
Maybe this wasn't such a bad idea.
