Dear Diary,
I could barely sleep a wink last night I was too nervous for my first day of freshman year. To start off the next 4years of my life I decided to start it off with writing a diary. I am gonna tell you a little bit about my self. My name is Kara Sandersen First off I am a blond with brown eyes. I have a dog named Buddy and a brother named Carter. I am 14 and my brother is 17. We live in a small town with my parents. I am not one of the most popular people but I would say I am semi-popular. I have never had a boyfriend but maybe one day I will meet the boy of my dreams. Cheesy, right? My best friends are Raina and Kit. We have all known each other since we were 2. Kit is a Sophmore this year and Raina is in my grade.
For the most part, my day was normal. We did not do much just learned the basics of the school considering that we have never gone to school there in the past. This morning I got out of bed and put on my back to school outfit consisting of a pair of light wash shorts and a flowy dark blue tank top. I stripped out of my PJs and wrapped my self in a towel. Crossing the hall I can hear my mom listening to her music in the kitchen. "morning mom" I hollered downstairs.
"Hey sweety, DO you want eggs for breakfast?"
"Yeah, thanks." THen I walked into the bathroom locking the door behind me and turning on the shower. As the bathroom fills with steam I sing along with the music that was playing on my phone. I stick my hand through the gap of the shower curtain to test the water. I hop in and start washing my hair. After I am done in the shower I wrap up in my towel and brush my teeth. I put my hair in a half up half down style after getting dressed.
I walked downstairs and sat on the stool in the kitchen in front of the eggs. "Thanks, mom."
"No problem sweety." she replied, "oh and Carter is going to give you a ride to school."
I heard the steps creak as Carter walked downstairs. He is 6'5" and the captain of the football team. He walked over and sat next to me at his plate of eggs and sat down next to me. After we finished our breakfast I grabbed my backpack and ran out to the car excited to get to school. My brother got in and the music started blaring. It was that basic rap thing that most boys listen to. Don't get me wrong I like it but it is just so basic.
We pulled out of the driveway and started our way to school. "Are you excited for high school?" my brother asked.
"Yeah I am a little nervous," I replied.
"Oh you will be fine." He said as we pulled into the high school. "text me if you need anything."
"Okay bye Carter." I walked over to the courtyard and pulled out my phone to find R and K. That is what we call each other for short.

Kara- Okay I will meet you there
I walked over to the tree and saw Raina sitting on the bench by the tree. "Heyyyy Raina, how are you?"
"I am good How are you?" she asked me.
After that, we talked till the bell rang telling us it was time to go to class. My first class was English with one of my best friends Nikoli. After my day finished I found my brother with his friends and his girlfriend, Lizzy. "Hey, Kara! How was your first day of school?" My brother asked me with his arm around his girlfriend.
"It was good! Can we go home now?" he didn't answer and started talking to his friends. "Please?"
"Okay let's go! Bye guys, bye Liz," he said giving her a kiss on her cheek.
We went home and I did my homework and brushed my teeth and all that jazz. After I finished all that I went to my bed and curled up in my warm bed with Buddy at the foot of my bed.
