Shit! Are you kidding me? My senior prom is in a week and I seriously just BROKE my leg? I just had to jump on that trampoline, didn’t I? I just had to try and impress Louis, didn’t I? What was I thinking, thinking I could be some dare-devil? All of these thoughts circulate through your mind as you sit on your bed, staring at the big, clunky cast on your right leg. That’s it. You’ve decided. I’m not going. If I cant look perfect, I don’t want to go. How would I even dance?! My parents are being so nice about it, though. They bought me the cutest tennies that match my dress since I can’t wear heels. So many conflicting thoughts running through your head, but they are all cut off when you feel buzzing in your pocket. “Alex! Please! I promise you will still have fun!” Lou pleaded with you. “I don’t know..I don’t want to ruin your night not being able to dance well, and not looking as pretty as you imagined all because of the stupid cast on my leg.” “Are kidding me, love? I think it will make you 10 times more beautiful!” “Oh stop.... I’ll think about it.” "Thank you, babe! I love you." "Love you, too." you hang up your phone and roll over in bed and drift to sleep.
**A week later**
“Aleeeex! You ready, yet?” your mom yells up the stairs as you finish slipping on your shoe. One shoe. I can’t believe I let him talk me into this. What have I even gotten myself into? Oh well. Too late to back out of it now. Off I go. To my senior prom. With a broken-leg. You walk toward the stairs and sigh. Here goes nothing. You begin to walk down. You reach the foot of the stairs and there he is. The whole reason you are doing this. And in this moment, it seems worth it, because the smile on his face stretches from ear to ear. “Wow. You look…wow…just beautiful.” Louis says with a cheeky grin, as he rushes over to you and gives you a quick kiss on the cheek. “Come on, babe. Limo is waiting in the front.” Ugh. Limo. You arrive at the prom venue and everything is decorated beautifully. After getting your picture taken countless times, and chatting with some friends, Louis comes over and laces his fingers into yours and slips your arm over his shoulder and practically starts carrying you. You feel no need to protest, so you allow him to lead you, where ever it is you are going. Then you find you’re leaving the building, and going outside to a little gazebo with twinkling lights everywhere. It looks like you are walking into a fairy tale. Louis picks you up and carries you over the stairs then places you down, but not on the ground, he places your feet onto his feet. “No, I don’t want to hurt you. I can’t dance with this on.” “Sure you can. Just trust me, okay?” You take a deep breath, and then put your arms around his shoulders and nuzzle your head up to his neck in embarrassment. Lou grabs your chin and looks dead into your eyes. “Thank you.” "For what?" you say, confused. "For coming." he says, while looking into your deep brown eyes. "Alex, you are the most beautiful girl by far." He says before he lifts your chin up to his face, and kisses you gently.
