Johanna sighed, hands trembling as she looked at a glowing red vial, labeled ''Determination Extract". She took a syringe and filled it with the glowing substance. Placing a drop under the microscope, she looked at it closer.
The door above this part of the lab slammed closed. Johanna jumped, knocking over the vial. It shattered on the floor.
"are you okay?" she heard Classic Sans call.
"yeah-yeah..." Johanna yelled back. "s-stay up there."
"WHY?" Swap Papyrus asked, coming down the stairs.
"oh, hi, Papyrus." Johanna muttered, She avoided eye contact with her friends, "d-don't mind the m-mess, just some chemicals. She watched with horror as they both bent down to observe it.
"why exactly do you have Determination Extract?'' Sans asked as he straightened up, his eye slightly glowing blue.
"u-uh... no reason? Just... science stuff."
"YOU ARE ACTING RATHER NERVOUS FOR ONE WHO IS JUST USING IT FOR "SCIENCE STUFF." Papyrus observed.
Johanna backed slowly up the stairs, Papyrus and Sans following her. Soon, She was literally backed into a corner. "i-it's nothing I assure you..."
''if it was nothing, you wouldn't be so nervous, kid." Sans said, quietly.
Johanna fell silent, looking up at the two of them. She glitched occasionally, nervous. Suddenly, without warning, she teleported behind them and bolted out the door.
