"Mr. Pierce, there's something I'd like to discuss with you." A nervous Santana Lopez stated forcing all of her nerves aside to front what appeared to be confidence to the naked eye.

"Ah Santana-Banana, come sit and watch the game with me. Louisville is up by four points!" Mr. Pierce said playfully.

Santana walked toward the couch where the older man sat with shaking legs.

"There's something I'd actually like to ask you..." Santana drug out hoping to delay the question at hand.

"Have at it Spitfire." Brittany's father joked with the now nauseous looking Latina.

"Well, Mr. Pierce-" Santana forced out giving her best attempt not to choke on her own words. This wouldn't be easy by any means.

"Mr. Pierce? What's with the formalities Ms. Lopez? Who died?" He joked elbowing Santana in the ribs playfully.

"Brian, you know I love Brittany more than anything in this miserable world, right?" The small Latina muttered.

"Well duh, so why are we pointing out the obvious here again, kiddo? He chuckled.

"Britt is my everything, and I'd do anything in this world to make sure she's happy. She's more than my girlfriend, she's my best friend, my rock, my sanity. I can't imagine a life without her. There would be no life without Britt or hearing about Lord Tubbington's latest antics from her over dinner. I live for that. I want to devote my life to her completely. Be the one to give her forever and beyond. I know I don't always show it, and you're the same way so I know you get that. However, Britt breaks down all these walls and I can't thank her enough for that. I want to spend forever doing things both big and little to show her I love her. Honestly, when she was with Sam I went insane, the only thing that kept me from begging her to come back is knowing that for the time being, he was what was best for her and her happiness. I love Brittany so much. So Brian, I am here in front of you stating the obvious about how completely in love I am with your daughter, for one thing. I would like your blessing to ask Britt to be my forever." Santana spoke running out of breath.

"So, you want to marry my daughter?" He asked raising an eyebrow.

"Yes, more than anything else on this planet." Santana said smiling.

"No." Brian Pierce spoke flatly.

"What? No? But I love her!" Santana explained fighting tears.

"Saturday morning jumped out of bed

And put on my best suit

Got in my car and raced like a jet

All the way to you

Knocked on your door with heart in my hand

To ask you a question

'Cause I know that you're an old-fashioned man, yeah"

Santana began to sing to the aging man in front of her.

"Can I have your daughter for the rest of my life?

Say yes, say yes 'cause I need to know

You say I'll never get your blessing 'til the day I die

Tough luck, my friend, but the answer is 'No'"

"Why you gotta be so rude?

Don't you know I'm human too?

Why you gotta be so rude?

I'm gonna marry her anyway"

"Marry that girl

Marry that girl
