"Dei? Good morning. Uh...sorry. Did I wake you?"

"Ahhhh...kinda, pero okay lang."

"Oh. Sorry, Dei. Tulog ka na lang ulit. Tawag na lang ako mamaya."

"No, it's okay, Jay. Good morning din! Napatawag ka?"

"Uhm, oo. Ano kasi I was thinking sana mamaya sa brunch...err...brunch date natin. Is it okay na diyan na lang sa place mo? I want to cook for you."

"Really? You'll cook for me?"

"Is that okay, Dei?"

"Oo naman! Pero medyo maliit yung kitchen ko ah."

"Okay lang yan. So, what time should I go there?"

"Hmm...around 9:30?

"Okay, Dei. See you later!"

"See you, Jay!"

"Hi, Jay! Grabe, on the dot talaga, 9:30."

"Haha, sorry. I don't like being too early or too late. Gusto ko exact talaga. Ganun ako ka-OC."

"That's good. So...come in."

"You have a nice place."

"Thanks. Medyo maliit lang siya, pang isang tao lang talaga."

"Hmm, okay naman yung size ah. Kasya naman tayong dalawa. Cozy nga eh."

"Erm...yes, I guess. So, here's the kitchen. Andito sa cabinetsand drawers yung pans and all the cooking utensils. You can set up here."

"Thanks, Dei. I'll get started na."

"So...what's for brunch?"

"I'm making Quiche' Lorraine, Smoked Salmon Avocado toast and Chocolate Chip Pancakes. Just give me an hour."

"Oh wow. Ang dami nun ah. Kaya mo tapusin yun ng isang oras lang?"

"Surprisingly, I've pulled it off before."

"Really? Sa brunch date din?"

"Haha no. For my family. We enjoy having weekly Sunday brunches."

"Ohh. Okay."

"Ikaw Dei ah. Fishing ka."

"Hoy Jay! Grabe ka sa akin. Nagtanong lang, fishing agad? Assuming ka!"

"Hala. Bakit ka defensive?"

"Hindi kaya ako defensive! I was just asking. Masama ba magtanong?"

"Ito naman, joke lang. Wag ka na magalit oh. Take a bite na lang of this avocado mixture kung okay sa panlasa mo."

"Mmm...this is good! Nakakainis ka!"

"Oh bakit?"

"Wala, ang sarap eh."

"Wait 'til you taste everything."

"Mas lalong kumulo yung tiyan ko. Is there any chance na matapos ka in 30 minutes?"

"I can try."

"I'll help you."

"Sure. But please try not to burn anything. Sayang naman ganda ng place mo, Dei!"

"Alam mo ikaw!"

"Joke lang, uy!"

"Kagatin ko tenga mo eh!"

"Huy!"

"Grabe, sobrang busog na busog ako, Jay."

"Glad you are. Masarap ba?"

"Do you see anything left on my plate? Grabe simot na simot. Ganoon siya kasasarap!"

"I'm happy that you're satisfied. Pagluluto ulit kita next time."

"Hala, baka masanay ako niyan, Jay."

"Okay lang yun. That way, I can see you more often, Dei."

"Umm, err..."

"I like your company, Dei."

"I like you too...I mean I like your company too, Jay."

"Then I guess you better prepare."

"For what?"

"Prepare yourself because you're going to see this face more often."

"Haha."

"Anyway, I'll go ahead na."
