Chapter 1; the beginning

Hey! So I've been stuck on what to write for a long time. So I've decided to change the storyline a bit and link it more to the season two finale and hopefully link it more to season three too. (Once it comes out obviously) and yeah, so there are a few changes in this first chapter! I hope you like it! xx

She was sat, in the heart of Riverdale; Pop's chocklit shoppe, a place where people go to take a break, to be together;  but she was alone.

Kevin had just left, she didn't want to go. She said she would be okay and would just write some songs or something. She didn't, she just sat there for a while. Josie had been thinking, there's something missing; let me rephrase that, there's someone missing.

She texted the only person she wanted to, the only person she thought about 24/7.

Reggie Mantle. Reginald fucking Mantle. The captain of the football team; maybe the hottest guy in Riverdale. That's what Josie thought anyway, she thought a lot about him. About how he wasn't hers. She wanted him. Badly.

She shook her head and stood up. She headed outside. He was there. Well, his car was anyway. His vintage Chevrolet was parked up, pristine and sparkling . You could tell he works his ass off to look after it. She'd only been in there once, he took her home after a party. She didn't remember much. She did remember him texting her nearly all night, making sure she was okay. He was cute like that. He would do that. He's that guy. Making sure she was okay, she was safe.

Little did she know, Reggie thought the same way about her. He liked her, a lot. Reggie and Josie, have a confusing 'relationship' if they can even call it that. One minute they seem like they loathe each other the next, they're practically on top of each other.

He walked from round the back of Pops.. and went straight to his car. He looked angry, so she didn't say anything; she just walked towards the road, kicking rocks underneath her feet. He saw her and ran up to her.

"Jos, Hey!" He hadn't seen her for a while, well for a while without an audience. This was his best chance to talk to her. Just the two of them. "Reginald, didn't expect to see you here. Alone." She really didn't, he's always got someone with him. "Archie bailed on me." He shrugged and then realised that was a stupid lie. Archie literally is in police custody. What a dumbass he told himself. Josie shook her head a little. Pretending to act like she hadn't notice what he'd just said."Well Mantle, if you've got no plans, we could do something?" She thought she'd say that, you know instead of bringing Archie up. She knows how hard it is for Reggie; that's his bestfriend. And she knows that he knows he can't do anything to help the fact that Archies been arrested for the murder of someone.

"Yes, yeah sure.." he said softly, while opening the passenger door for her.
