As I left my foster home I pulled my pocket knife out and called my boyfriend, Shane.

"Hey babe", I said as he answered.
" Hi."
"Where are you?"
"The park at the end of your street. In my truck."
"Okay. I'm almost there. See you in a few."
"OK I love you."
"Love you too." I said and hung up.

Shane is a senior in highschool and five years older than me. My foster parents forbid me to date him but I don't care. I love him. And he loves me. And that's all that matters.

That's why we're running away together tonight.

I made it to the park and immediately located his truck. As I neared it I put my knife away and got in the passenger side.

"Hey babe," I said, leaning in and kissing him. "Where are we heading?"

"I know this abandoned building one town over. It has heat, electric, water, the works."

"Okay. Let's go."

He started the engine and drove off.
