Making a Single for 11 year olds? Okay!

Today was our first day in Y6 at school and we LOVED IT!! Cara and Cerys spent all Wet Play writing a song togther. "Sophia? Alexa? Rachel? Imogen? Will you be in a band with us?" Cara asked and we all nodded eagerly. "What should we call ourselves?" Imogen asked and everyone thought for a moment. "What about, Diamonds?" Rachel said and we thought. "Yes!! Thats brilliant Rachel. Or should I say, BrilLIAM?!" Cerys joked and we all burst out laughing.

At the end of the day, Auntie Falon, Auntie Georgia, Auntie Ariana and Mum let us take Rachel, Alexa and Imogen to the recording studios. We had practised the song we were making so we were ready to make it a single. "YOU GOT NOTHIN' ON ME!" We started as the song we had written started to build up. We were singing about a boy that cheated on Cerys with Jasmine. Another girl in our class.

Cara started singing first. "Summer came it took me by suprise. The California sunshine in my eyes. Driving with the top down, we sing along, to our favourite songs. Nothing could go wrong." Then I started to sing. "Laughing as we gazed under the moon. You kissed me and it never felt too soon. Hard to believe that anything could tear us apart. Then you broke my heart."

We all sang the chorus. "Now I know who you are, you got nothin' on me. I see, I should've known it from the start. You can't tell me lies, can't even try. Cause this is goodbye. Goodbye."

Alexa and Rachel began to sing as everyone in the room stared at our talent. "Caught you from the corner of my eye. You smiled at a girl while passing by. Thought you had me fooled but you were wrong. I know whats going on, it didin't take me long."

Imogen started to sing and I think she had the most emotional voice in this whole group. "It wasn't hard to read between the lines. The neclace in you car, that wasn't mine. Nothing left for you to do or say. So I'm on my way, now its too late."

We all sang the chorus again as it started to sound more emotional. "Now I know who you are, you got nothin' on me. I see, I should've known it from the start. You can't tell me lies, can't even try, cause this is good...."

Cerys started to sing while wiping a tear from her eye. "Bye to broken promises. Time to face your jealousness. Don't bore me with apologies. Or coming back, crawling on your knees. You got nothin' on me!" She sang as we echoed. "You got nothin' on me. You got nothing on me." Cerys started singing again as Cara sang with her. "I know who you are. Yeah I see, I shoud've known it from the start. You can't tell me lies. Don't even try. Cause this is goodbye..."

We all sang the chorus again as the power tensed up in our singing. "Now I know who you are, you got nothing on me. I see, I should've known it from the start. You can't tell me lies. Don't even try, cause this is goodbye. Goodbye." We finished the song as we were awarded with claps. "Could you make up about 5 more songs and we'll put them on an album for you. Also could you think up of an album name." Dads manager Simon Cowell said and we all nodded before walking out and leaving. "Mum. Can Rachel, Alexa, Imogen and Sophia sleep over tonight?" I asked and mum agreed. Today was an eventful day.
