Wanna One x Reader (Oneshots)

Kang Daniel

"Good morning (Y/N)! How are you?" my best friend, Kang Daniel, asked as he ran in my direction. I smiled and waved at him. I have the slightest crush on him, but he doesn't need to know that.

"Great! Did you do last nights homework?" I said. He then smiled adorably as he answered.

"Yeah, it was fine. Did you visit your dad yesterday?" he said. My mom and dad lived apart and I stayed with my mom. My dad was about an hour away from here.

"Yep! I hung out with him for the day, you should meet him someday," I said back. He laughed and we went to class. After class, one of the popular girls, Lisa, came up to Daniel.

"Hey Daniel~. So, what are you doing after school?" she asked with a sly smile. I glared at her but she ignored me. Daniel looked a bit confused.

"I-I'm uhh, n-not much, I-I guess," he spit out. He then looked away with pink painted all over his face. Lisa giggled as she walked away. I growled a bit under my breath. I looked back at Daniel with sympathy in my eyes.

"Are you okay? Don't mind her, shes just like that," I said to comfort him. He put on a small smile as he looked at me.

"No, I'm fine, I m-might actually like Lisa t-too. I know it sounds stupid but I don't really know," he admitted. I stared at him in shock as my heart broke. I felt a few tears sprouting at my eyes, but I forced a smile for him.

"Oh, then you should ask her out. I bet she'll say yes!" I said a bit to enthusiastically. I cringed at myself, but Daniel smiled and nodded. I didn't want to put him down or ruin our friendship.

"Yeah, I'll ask her at the end of the day. Thanks (Y/N)!" he said smiling brightly. I continued to put on a fake smile as we walked to our next class.

~Time Skip~

I was quite broken the rest of the day. Like he said, Daniel asked Lisa out. Of course she said yes. I went home and started to cry. My older brother, Jungkook, was also home. He asked what was wrong and comforted me.

"You know, I really know it's hard for you but I think you should just let go. He's happy with her, but that doesn't meet he still can't be your best friend. You could still hang out with him, even if you don't like the girl he's with, the least you could do is to be happy and there for him," he said. I nodded and held onto Jungkook tighter. He then turned on a movie and we hung out for a while.

After the movie, I'd have calm down. I would let go, if I really could. Of course I would continue to be his best friend, but with Lisa around, I just can't help but feel a bit jealous. I sat on my bed and thought about it. I never wanted anything to go in between our friendship because I loved him so dearly. I'll continue to put on a smile for him to show him I still care.

The next day of school, I don't see Daniel anywhere in the front gates of the school. I look around, but he isn't anywhere. I then finally spot him with Lisa. He had his arm wrapped around her and smiling the brightest I've ever seen it. My heart shatters a bit more but I continue to smile when he spotted me. Lisa glared but I ignored it.

"Hey (Y/N)! Thanks for your help yesterday. Me and Liza are official now. Come on, let's go to class together," Daniel said with a smile. I put on a fake smile and walked with them. I saw Lisa smirk as she saw me but I ignored her.

We had the same homeroom so we went together. For most periods, Lisa stayed with us. It was annoying, but I had to deal with it. I wanted to be with Daniel. When they kissed, I'd fake laugh at it with everyone else around, but it hurt a lot. Lisa then also walked home with us but I ran into my house to meet Jungkook again. There, I dropped the smile I had and sighed.
