Great. Guess time didn't really change at all. You turn and see Toriel, her arms open waiting for the hug. You step back, glaring at her you said, "I'm not gonna fall for that again."
Toriel frowns and puts her arms down. "My child, I'm sorry for hurting you. It was only to protects."
Before she can speak more you ran. Running past her to go downstairs. "What are doing?!" Flowery asked. He looks at you but finds you... crying?
Tears were falling down and sobs were coming out. You were shaking and Flowery was a bit shocked. You seemed braved throughout this situation and now you're trembling in your boots. "I-I can't do this!" You were scared. Never in your life have you thought your emotions were spill like this. You will continue to live your life here and never die. Repeating this over and over.
You stop to catch your breath. You fell to your knees and began to shake even more. "F-Flowery, I'm scared. I-I don't know what to do!" All you can do now is cry.
Flowery just watched you cry. He didn't really know how to comfort humans. He has never been in this kind of state where he calms down someone. He gulps and said, "C-C'mon (y/n). I know this is all weird and scary, but I promise you. I will try my hardest to help you reach the surface! Even if it means my own life!"
You sniff and look at Flowery. You chuckle and wipe the tears off your face. Again, your emotions took control of you. You smile at Flowery and murmured a thank you.
That just shows he does care for you. He could've just left you here to die. But he was willing to help out a human. A human that needs answers to this odd place. "Flowery, thank you for your kindness. With just a bit of kindness the world, even the underground, can feel the joy. The joy that everyone cares about you and others. Kindness...," you said. "Wait, kindness!" You jump up and dust yourself off. "That's all we need! Not determination, I feel like that's for someone else, but maybe kindness!"
"No offense, (y/n). But I don't think-," Flowery was interrupted when you turned around, and run back.
"C'mon, I now thought of a better plan!" You decide to keep a straight face now. If you show fear this plan might not work.
"(Y/n), I get what you're trying to say! But not everyone likes that word! In this world, it's kill or be killed!"
"You might be right about that, but hurting monsters isn't right. Something must have happened for them to act like that," you said. Then you stopped.
Across from you is Toriel. This is your chance. She could help you and tell you more about what happened to the underground. "Child...," you hear Toriel murmur.
"Toriel, I won't fight you. No matter how much you hurt or kill me I'll come back. For now, I'm offering kindness," you said.
Toriel stares at you. Her green eyes, those eyes show her soul is damaged. They look lifeless and hurt. She clenches her fists and said, "that's was what one human said." Her hands started forming a fire attack. "But he failed. Once I let him go he died. Not once has a human pasted him. For someone told me how the outside world is. Please, child, you have to stay!"
You are starting to understand now. Toriel's only shed through that door is someone. But who? Clearly, this person has told her too much dark information that it kinda traumatized her. Maybe make her a little bit insane. "Toriel, you have to let me though. I know I can do it!" You said.
Toriel paused for a second. She seems to be thinking and then she said, "prove it."
"E-Excuse me?" Stop shuttering.
"You shall fight me. If you are able to beat me then I shall let you pass," she said.
You have seen how powerful she is. Her fire attack is too strong for you to handle. You know this will be risky, but for the sake of the underground.
"(Y/n) you know how strong she is. What if you fail?" You hear whispers to you.
"Then I'll keep coming back."
"And then you'll kill her?"
"No," you said. "I'm gonna free her as well as with the other monsters."
"Mercy!? Do you really think that's a good idea?" Flowery asked.
"Yes, for hurting a monster is too much for me. Now," you look back at Toriel. "I accept."
Toriel grinned and said, "very well my child." She lifts her arms and in her hands were fire. Grinning she threw one of them at you. You were able to dodge it considering it was fast.
Guess the battle has now begun.
But you couldn't kill her. The only way to get past her is mercy.
