Luke's POV

"Wake up, Lukey." Caroline whispers. I smile as I open my eyes, seeing my beautiful wife.

"Good morning, darling." I say, groggily. I sit up and kiss her cheek then get up to get ready. I go into the bathroom and brush my teeth then take a quick shower. As I am drying off, I hear my phone begin to ring. I pick up my phone and see that it is Jason calling.

"Hey, man, what's up?" I ask as I answer the phone.

"Wanna go to the bar with a few of the guys tonight? " Jason asks.

"Hell yeah." I answer.

"See ya at around 8 then, alright?" He says.

"Alright." I reply and hang up.

After we hang up I throw on some clothes and walk downstairs to see the boys and Carol sitting at the table eating breakfast.

"Mornin' boys." I smile as I kiss each of them on the head and go grab a cup of coffee.

"Daddy, please don't go back to work." Bo says as I sit down at the table. I sigh and look at Caroline.

"Boys, I know y'all don't like it when I'm gone and I really miss y'all when I'm at work but I have to do it. How about this summer you two come on tour with me?" I suggest.

"YEAH!!" They both yell with excitement in their voices. I smile seeing them happy then get up and put my coffee cup in the sink.

I head back upstairs and get some clothes out of my closet. I walk into the bathroom and turn on the shower as hot as the water will get. I slowly get undressed and step in the shower. I close my eyes and let the water run over my body.

"Luke, sweetie, you okay? You've been in there a while." I hear Caroline say outside the door.

"I'm fine." I say, more quietly than I mean to. I quickly rinse the shampoo out of my hair then turn the water off. I step out of the shower and wrap my towel around my waist.

"Sweetheart, don't let the boys get to you. They love you, they just miss their daddy, Luke." Carol says. I nod my head, understanding, then lean down and kiss her.

"Baby, do you care if I go out with the guys tonight?" I ask Caroline. She smiles.

"Of course I don't mind, sweetie. You go have some fun with your friends." She tells me, getting on her tip-toes to kiss me once more.

{Later that night}

"Luke, hurry your ass up old man!" Jason yells as I get out of my truck at the bar.

"You're only 7 months younger than me dude." I tell him, playfully punching his arm as I get to where him and the rest of the guys are standing. We walk into the bar, there are people everywhere. Girls are already dancing on the bar and it's only 8:30.

"I think I'm gonna go talk to her..." My buddy, Clayton, says as he walks in the direction of a girl. We all kinda chuckle at him then continue toward the bar.

We order round after round of shots, each shot I take I feel myself relax more.

Around 2 A.M. rolls around and we are all shitfaced. All the single guys have found girls to dance with and take home. Jason and I are left alone and begin drunkenly talking about life.

"I don't enjoy touring anymore..." I tell him, barely realizing what I've said.
