~ Brooklyn ~

I walk out of my room to go to the kitchen, but I slow down when I hear Brennen talking to someone. "Hey, it's okay. Just let it out. Tell me what happened." Who the hell is he talking to? I peek around the corner and try to stay hidden behind the wall. Even though both the guys are facing their backs towards me while they're on the couch, I don't wanna be caught. Wait, is that Corey?

"So. I got home today from the gym, and I had gone up to my room. Devyn was in there like usual, and I gave her a kiss and told her I was gonna take a shower. So then I took a shower and got dressed and all that stuff. When I came out of the bathroom, Devyn jumped and quickly fixed her hair and I gave her a confused look and she just gave me a smile. So I was like, why'd you get so scared. And she started playing with her hair as if something was up. Then I noticed something on her neck and I went up to her and moved her hair out of the way and there was a fucking hickey on her neck. I got so pissed and started yelling and asking her who did that and if she was cheating on me. She didn't say anything. But then she finally told me who it was." He says and I can tell he's been crying. "Woah. Bro I'm so sorry Corey. Do you wanna tell me who did it?" Brennen says to him while putting his hand on Corey's back. "Okay. But, you can't tell your sister. It was. Scotty." Corey says looking down as if ashamed. I see Brennen get taken back by that and he clenches his fists.

I can't believe what I just heard. My jaw drops as I stand there for a few seconds. Then I turn around and walk back to my room not caring how loud my footsteps are, then slamming my door.

~ Brennen ~

I clench my fists as Corey tells me who did it. Fucking Scotty. Then we hear loud foot steps and a loud sniffle followed by a slamming door. Me and Corey both look at each other and I quickly jump over the back of the couch running to Brooklyn's room. I start knocking on the door. "Brook! Please open up. It's Brennen!" I hear her crying and it breaks my heart. I know she's not gonna open the door so I rush away into the living room. "Brennen I'm so sorry. This is my fault." Corey says as he stands up. "No Corey. It's fine, I promise. Just stay here and watch her please. I'll be right back." I say to him and he nods. Then I rush out the front door and hop in my car.

~ Brooklyn ~

I hear Brennen walk away and a few moments later I hear the front door slam. I continue to cry in my pillow till a minute later I hear a soft knock at my door. "Brennen, leave me alone!" I look up from my pillow and yell towards my door. "It's Corey. Brennen left." He says softly. I can't help but feel bad. I slowly get up, unlocking the door and climbing back in bed shoving my face into my pillow to continue crying. Corey opens my door and walks in. He walks over to my side of my bed and kneels down, putting his hand on my back.

"I'm sorry Brooklyn. I didn't want you to find out like that. I'm sorry you had to hear that." He says softly, and I just continue to cry. He takes his hand off my back and I hear him walk over to the end of my bed and he climbs on my bed sitting against the wall beside me (I don't have a headboard so the "headboard" is just the wall xD). Then he starts rubbing my back.

~ Corey ~

I sit against the wall beside her on her bed and just rub her back. I know this usually helps girls when they're upset. Just let them let it out, and comfort them. I've known her since the prank Elton did 3 weeks ago, and we've become pretty good friends. Devyn never liked her so that might be the reason she cheated on me with Scotty.

I continue to rub Brook's back, but I move so I'm lying on my side with my head resting on my other arm as I face her and rub her back. Her heavy breathing from crying so hard has slowly down, and she's not sobbing anymore. Then her breathing slows down to a calm steady normal pace, and I can tell she's asleep.

~ Brennen ~

I've calmed down and arrived back home. I grab the bag from the back and walk inside. I put the bag on the kitchen table and walk into Brooklyn's room. I see Corey lying beside her keeping a good distance from her but also rubbing her back. He has his eyes closed but I can tell he's not asleep. "Corey." I whisper to him kind of loudly but not loud enough to wake Brooklyn. He opens his eyes and looks at me. "Hey." He whispers back. I motion for him to follow me, and he slowly gets out of the bed and walks out of the room as I shut the door softly. Then we walk into the kitchen.

"So what happened after I left?" I ask him as I take the ice cream out of the bag and put it in the freezer. "Well, I went to her room and knocked on her door and she yelled at me thinking I was you. Then I told her it was me, and she unlocked the door without opening it and had hopped back into her bed. Then I opened her door and saw her crying with her face shoved into her pillow, so I went over to her to try and talk to her but she wouldn't reply to anything I said. So I just climbed into her bed and rubbed her back as she let it out until she fell asleep, because that's what I used to do with Devyn when she was upset." He explains to me and I nod.

"Yeah, Scotty was her first REAL relationship. She had like 2 small relationships that didn't last long and didn't mean much back in high school. She was also bullied a lot and didn't really have many friends. All her friends ended up stabbing her in the back, so she developed trust issues and gets hurt, emotionally, very easily. So this is hard on her." I explain to Corey as I get both of us a bowl of ice cream. I look back at Corey and his mouth is wide opened.

"What?" I ask him as I set the bowl of ice cream in front of him and one in front of me. "I'm just. Surprised. She's such a sweet nice and beautiful girl. I wouldn't expect that kind of story to come from a girl like her. Wow. I feel so bad." He says honestly and he starts eating his ice cream. "Well she's only 19, what do you expect. She even ended up dropping out of school at 17. Mom wasn't very happy, but was still supportive of her decisions. But now look at her. Grown to be an Internet personality star. And she's still my baby sister, so I get over protective of her sometimes. Which is the reason why I stormed out and went to Scotty's." I say to him, taking a bite into my ice cream.

"I'm assuming that explains your hand." He says pointing at my hand. My knuckles are all bruised up BADLY. "So what happened?" He asks. "Well, when I got there, I started beating on the door and David answered. David, Matt, Toddy, Liza, Jason, and of course, Scotty were there. I rushed past David and went straight to Scotty who was standing behind the couch Toddy was sitting on. When I reached Scotty, I started yelling at him. I was like, you're a fucking dick! Who cheats on his girlfriend with one of his own friends girlfriends. Everyone who was there was quite and in shock. And Scotty was like, look Brennen, it's not what it looks like. I don't know where you heard that from but I promise it's not what it looks like. I got pissed at that point and punched Scotty in the face making him fall on the floor as he held his nose. David and Jason rushed over to me holding me back so I wouldn't beat the shit out of Scotty. Then I shrugged David and Jason off me and yelled at Scott again saying, I can't fucking believe you. I trusted you with my sister and this is how you treat her after 2 years. Nice move dick head. Don't come near my little sister again. I can't believe you. Then I rushed out of the house and drove to the store and bought Brook's favourite ice cream and now I'm here." I explain to Corey as I stare at my ice cream watching it melt.

"Hey. Brennen. It's gonna be okay. You're just protecting your little sister. I would do the same if some boy cheated on my sisters." Corey says truthfully to me. I don't look at him and I stay staring at my ice cream. I just can't process the fact that someone who's supposed to be one of my friends, would cheat on my baby sister like that. Like why? I finally look up and rub my face while breathing in deeply. "It just sucks ya know? He fucking cheated on my sister with your girlfriend. Now you and your girlfriend are broken up, and my sister and Scotty are done with. I'm sorry Corey." I start eating my ice cream again and we just sit in silence.

"You're a good brother Brennen. Don't forget that." Corey says reassuringly.
