My theory is just she wasn't just referring to astronova, as it said that they were beings. Its beingS. So meaning there are others. Probably other aliens like astronova, or the gods and goddesses who are described in the book legend of the shadow high.
But the most fit here is the narrators. The monster must be referring them as "gods" or the one who is in control of everything. Ancient monster must be talking and knew the existence of narrators just like how maddie and kitty here them. I don't know why but its probably because of them being wonderlandians. But why lizzie, bunny and alistair can't hear them?
They probably can here them but just keep shut. Or they didn't really hear them at all. Only maddie and kitty because of them being the superior mads among the others. But why the mad hatter itself couldn't? The only answer we need is from mattel.
