I was awoken by a twig next to my ear breaking in half. Above me stood a dog, I grinned even though I had a pounding headache, I reached out to stroke it but I froze. I saw a blue police Jacket on the dogs coat. "Oh shit" I mumbled as the dog ran away barking. I knew there was only a matter of time before it came back. I tried to ignore my headache as I jumped up and sprinted through the woods. I heard more shouting all around me but I was too scared to stop. I had no control over my legs as I ran faster than ever. I could hear dogs chasing me followed by the shouts of police officers. I never thought one little drink could cause so much trouble. I could see the exit to the woods as I continued to run. Eventually I knew I would not be able to out run these people. I ducked behind a tree and sat down re-assessing the events. I started to feel exited. The chase had given me so much Adrenalin and confidence that I so sorely needed. I began to giggle hysterically ignoring the pounding in my head. I stumbled out of the woods and onto the road still laughing. People where giving me strange, disappointed, disgusted looks as I walked past and for once, I didn't care. I felt better than ever and that's all that mattered. I made my way home and when I opened the door I saw something that shook me to the bone. My mother, with fuming rage painted on her face.
