prototype: the Alfa weapon

I walked out of school, Blackwatch standing in front of us. Two were equipped with electric prods, and riot shields. They began to move closer, the other soldiers aiming their rifles up at me, the general standing infront, looking at me. His eye fixed on me. He raised his arm, smiling.

The two shock troopers stepped forward, stabbing me with the prods. I roared out in pain, grabbing ones arm, lifting the soldier up, breaking his arm, the other drew his 9mm pistol, firing two rounds before standing his ground. I grabbed him by the leg, tairing him apart. The soldiers looked at each other. The general looked in horror. "Tranqulizers only. I want him alive. Fire!" They opened fire as I pushed Lily out of the way, the bullets hit me. Blood dripping from my chin as I fell onto my knees. "Grab the girl." Shouted  the general, as the soldier grabbed Lily by the arm.

I awoke, chained to a bench, I looked to the side, 200 volts of power. I looked directly infront. The general and the commander talking.

"The girl?"

"In the room looking at him!"

"Good."

"He's ready for information sir."

"Very well soldier."

He walked in I looked at the glass, I couldn't see Lily. The general walked to me, the bench lifted to a standing position. "So, Alfa."

"My name isn't Alfa!"

"We need you to help us!"

"Go fuck your self!"

"Now, now Alfa. We need your help, tell me were the virus is and we'll let you go."

"I'll die before I'll tell you."

He turned the voltage up until I felt the pain.

"Tell me and this pain will stop."

"Never. You want infomation go find Mercer yourself."

"You don't know do you."

"Know what."

"Mercer and Heller are dead. NYZ is gone."

"How."

"Incendiary bomb."

"You killed everyone in the city."

"Yes now tell me were the virus is."

"Never."

The voltage turned up to 400 volts.

"Tell me."

"No! You'll have to kill me."

The voltage turned up to 600 volts per second. I could smell my skin burning.

"Tell me or."

"Or what."

"Or the girl will be shot."

Lily walked into the room, a guard behind her aiming a 10mm pistol at her head.

"Lily!"

"Adam, don't tell him."

"They'll kill you!"

"I know!"

"I'm not loosing you again!"

"General. The virus is."

"Yes."

The bench shook, the chains beginig to break.

"The virus is right here."

My restraints broke, and I lurched forward grabbing the general and impailing him on my claws, letting his body fall to the floor. "Let the girl go."

The soldier complied running for his life. I collapsed onto my knees smoke cascading from my shoulders like wings. I spat blood, my breathing was quick and short. I felt light headed, I looked at Lily.

"Adam!" Her words were muffled by the sound of my heart.

"We. We need to get out of here." I could barely hear  my own voice. I stood up, stumbling back trying to find balance.  I grabbed a 9mm pistol and handed it to Lily.

"Your gonna need it if we are to get out of her. Follow me."

I picked up an assault rifle and kicked the door down. Guards stood in our way, I opened fire, gunning five of them down as I limbed to a door. Sitting down, flinching in pain. Lily looked at me. Shock in her eyes. I got back up this time it was more of a fast paced walked then a jog. I opened the door, taking most of the bullets, I retaliated by shooting them, blood seemed to spill unlike anything I've seen. I began to shack, clenching my fists and dropping the gun, jogging to the soldiers, ripping them apart.

I stopped, stepping back and taking a deep breath. We were almost out when I was shot with a .54 caliba armour piercing bullet.

I fell back as Lily shot the guard in the head.  I got back up, walking to a jeep telling Lily to get in the back.

I started the jeep, flooring it to the gates, we drove until it was night.

"We'll make camp here." I grabbed some wood, and started a fire.

"Adam are you ok, you know all that in the base, I, i was worried  about you."

"I'm ok, it was just a scratch. Ha."

"Adam, don't joke about that. Let me see the wound."

"Fine."

I showed her the amount of bullet holes in my chest and shoulder.

"Go to the truck, there's morphine in there."
Lily grabbed the morphine jab and injected it into my arm.

"Why didn't you give the general the infomation."

"Because he would have used the virus on others like me."

"How come you didn't know about NYZ?"

"My mother and father were over there and never came back. That's how."

Lily bandaged up my shoulder.

"Thanks Adam."

"No problem. I say we're even now."

I looked at her, smiled and lay down. "We should get some sleep. Goodnight beautiful."
