Sure, he was a good kid.

Was.

Matthew was very involved back at his Florida home. He played soccer, competed with the schools swim team, studied, and was even a dancer. He preferred modern and hip-hop dance, and that's how he met his recent friends before the move.

Out on the street he ran into two guys, Cameron and John, and they were.... Interesting. Everyone loved them. Ok. Not everyone... The cool kids. And girls. A whole bunch of them. And Matt was aging, so of course he loved that.

A lot.

Time passed and Matt slowly got sucked into the players' world. If you had a girl longer than three weeks it was considered a sin. A deadly sin. John would beat Matt. Nah not really, they would just bag on him. Badly. So things got a little off track. Matt's grades went down, he wasn't participating in sports, or in family activities. He became a jerk, an ass. And it wasn't pretty. Until he met a girl, a cheerful blonde. Her sparkling green eyes gave him hope. He slowly drew away from that lifeー for her, to be with her ーleaving himself with no friends until the fateful move to the island country.

Japan.

You see, his mom was adopted into a Japanese American family. She later on married a man and had three kids; Deen, Jennifer, and then there was Matthew, the youngest. She later on remarried so all, except for the father, were decently fluent in Japanese, and emerged in the culture as well. That's what got them to move here, to Japan. Matt's life was falling apart from poor decisions, and his mom decided it be best to move with their grandparents when they went back to Japan for a few years. And trust me, it wasn't easy. How could he go on with out Alice..?

And then one day, she moved too.

To get away as well, but for other reasons. Deph, Alice's boyfriend, and she became new parents... And they decided they wanted a new start.

And thus they quickly ran off to the land of the rising sun, and the two souls finally got to meet up again.
