Counting Seasons

Chapter One

It's winter the season where were forced to stay inside , snuggling up to our loved one , or in my case , my blanket. Every season is as miserable as the previous one , It never gets any better for me. I would sit at home in my room , completely lost , no one and nothing to talk to , i'm alone.. Until I find that perfect prince charming , I'm off Counting the Seasons ....

"Pippa , time to get up sweetie , It's Saturday " Said my mum , Suzanne , tapping on my door.

Another Saturday ruined by the family , skiing , snowman and angel making , the perfect way to get frost bite.Every season , my family would take advantage off what it has to offer , no matter how hot or cold is it.

"Pippa ,It's Saturday , time for skiing" She said peering here head in the door.

"Yes mother , I heard you the first time " I said pulling the blanket over my head , trying to avoid eye contact.

"Pippa , be ready in ten minutes , I don't want to have to come back" She snapped shutting the door behind her.

Poking my head out the blanket , I threw it off me and took my first step on my soft fluffly carpet. Walking to my closet I picked out my skiing outfit and chucked it on , trying to hide as much skin as I could possibly. Looking in my bathroom mirror , I took the lackey that was around my wrist and I tied up my long curly pink hair.

"Darling are you done " Said my mum , once again.

"Yes , mum , I'll be out in a moment" I said warming my hands up on the hot water that was flowing from my bathroom tap.

Taking my hands away from the tap , my hands already froze , running to the corner of my room , I grabbed the pink gloves that hanged on my bookcase. Closing the door ,  I see my brother , carrying his skiing equipment , running to him I grab it off him.

"Thanks Pip" Said my brother, Josh, looking frozen.

"Thats okay " I said dropping the equipment on the floor..."Here you go" I said taking my jacket off and putting it on him.

"Thank you " He said with a smile that reached from ear to ear.

Placing the skiing equipment in the trunk , I closed the door and looked up to the neighbours house , where there was a family surrounding a fireplace watching television. If only my family was like that , nice and simple , not crazy...

"Time to go children" Said my mum , starting the car up.

Jumping in the car , all I could think about was snuggling up in my bed to my blankets and watching a movie , but then my brother rested his little head on my shoulder and closed his deep blue eyes , nothing was worth more then that.

"You's exited , Children"Said my mum stopping at a traffic light.

Looking at my sleeping brother I knew I was the only one who could answer."Sure , mum " I said rolling my eyes.

"What would you rather , go sleep in bed all day , huh?" Said my mum , turning her head to me.

"Yes , Yes I would , for a change I would not like to suffer" I said raising my eyebrows.

"Fine , you can forget any more activities , well be like those family that don't do anything together , If your father was here , he would be disgusted" She said turning a green light.

"What do you mean disgusted , dad died because of you , he died skiing , because you kept forcing him to go and he didn't want to go , it's all your fault , so stop blaming me" I screamed.

"What did you just say " Screamed my mum , slapping me across the face.

Feeling the heat burn up in my left cheek , I felt like hitting her back , until a huge impact rolled the car. The pressure of me being thrown around the car while still in my seatbelt was unbelievable. Opening my eyes , I felt the blood flowing from the cuts on my cheeks and the bruises on my body aching. Lifting my head one centimetre of the ground , glass was digged into me , like bullets , not having the strength , my head fell back to the ground.

"Pippa , Pippa , can you hear me " Said a voice coming in front of me.

Opening my eyes slightly I looked around and noticed I was in a hospital. Lifting my arms , they were covered in stiches and bruises. Looking up at the doctor , all I could think about was Josh and mum.

"Pippa , are you alright" He said putting gloves on.

"Wheres my mum" I said , looking up at him.

"Your mums is in a critical state , but I believe she will make it"

"What about my brother , Josh , is he alright , can I see him " I said looking at him worried...
