I Hate To Love You

Drama class-y?

As a reminder I DO NOT own Pokémon. All rights go to the Pokémon company. As a reminder this chapter is dedicated to my wonderful friend Alyssa Iniguez.

Everyone was perfectly in time for Drama class. Ms. Ketchum was very pleased with the turn out of students. Usually more than half of the class would be late but not today. Today was the day Ms. Ketchum was introducing a new play to try out for. It would most likely be the highlight of the school year

Ms. Ketchum proceeded to take role call. "Gary Oak?" "Present." Gary replied with a flashy grin that made all the girls swoon well except for Leaf, Misty, Dawn, May, and Serena. " Ash Ketchum?" " Mom you know I'm always here." Ash had to reply to his mother, who always embarrassed him in Drama class. "May Norman?" "Here!" May exclaimed happily and excited to find out what the play was going to be. "Dawn Berlitz?" "Here!" Dawn replied extremely peppy trying to get Barry's attention but Barry was to busy posting his latest grocery store incident on Facebook. "Misty Waterflower?" "Here . . ." Misty replied obviously bored. " Serena Tiffany?" "Here!" Serena replied also seeming excited for class but mostly because Ash was there.

As Ms. Ketchum proceeded to call out names of students there was a certain student that was running extremely late for class. She was panicking as she ran through the halls to get to class. She was in charge of yearbook this school year so she was late for almost all of her classes because she was busy taking pictures of students during their lunch periods and staff who were roaming the halls. This had the appearance of medium length dark brown hair and brown eyes. Almost everyone in the school loved her . . . well except for the so called mean girls of the school.

She bursted through the doors of the class room and screamed "I'M HERE!". "Thank you Alyssa for joining class today. Now please take a seat." Some of the students in the room started to snicker. Serena recognized this girl. Then suddenly it hit her. This was her old friend Alyssa from her old school. The two had split up during middle school because Serena had to move somewhere far away. She really missed her and after all this time she got to see her again.

Ms. Ketchum started calling student names again. " Ursula Donovin?" "Here!" Ursula exclaimed as she stared at Barry but once again Barry was distracted by his phone. " Leaf Green?" "Here!" Leaf replied trying to be enthusiastic. "Brianna Walker?" "I'm here!" Brianna replied looking at Drew which was here soon to be future boyfriend well at least that's what she thought. "Rudy Francisco?" Rudy didn't reply. He just sat there and rose his hand and Ms. Ketchum took that as a signal he was here. "Miette Zionna?" "Here!" Miette said while sending Ash kissy faces. "Drew Hayden?" "Present." Drew replied with a hair flick. "Sammy Franks?" Like, here." Sammy replied while filing her nails. "Melody Russell?" "Present!" Melody said whispering to Brianna about how cute Rudy is. " And finally last but not least Barry Vinson?" "Here!" Barry replied excitedly.

   "Barry what did I say about phones in class? Please hand it over." Barry always seemed to be on his phone in class it was an issue in every class. "But Ms. Ketchum! I need to share one of my best stories with the world!" "I'm sorry but that will have to wait for after class." Ms. Ketchum said taking Barry's phone away from him and placing it in a basket on her desk.

 "Alright everyone as you know there is a wonderful school play coming up. There will be auditions tomorrow so please practice for the part you want. OH! Silly me! I forgot I haven't even told you the play is yet! The play is going to be High school Musical!" Everyone seemed pretty excited about the play choice. "I'm sure you have all seen the movies or at least heard of the movies so I hope you all are happy for what I have chosen. I am going to assign you all a partner to practice with." Everyone also seemed happy for this choice too. " Here is the list of partners. Drew and May, Dawn and Barry, Misty and Rudy, Leaf and Gary, Serena and Ash, Alyssa and Clemont, Brianna and Kenny, Ursula and Conway, Melody and Gorgio, Miette and Sawyer, and Sammy and Red." All the girls seemed unhappy except for Serena. The boys didn't mind at all who there partners were.

   Drew walked up to May from across the room. "Hey my name is Drew." He said with a hair flick. "Hmph. I'm May." Wow she didn't fall for me like every other girl. "Well . . . what role are you trying out for?" he asked still surprised by her last comment. " I'm trying out for Gabriella Montez. How about you?" she asked annoyed. " Troy Bolton." he replied simply.

    Across from them stood Misty and Rudy who weren't talking to each other at all until Misty decided to step up and say something first. "What role are you trying out for?" Rudy didn't speak a word. " I'm trying out for Taylor Mckessie. I don't want something to much. You know?" She still got no reply out of him. " Nice talking to you." she said sarcastically.

   Dawn had some questions for the blonde but she knew she couldn't ask all of them so she decided to ask him about what role he was going for. " So which role?" She decided to ask. " Oh I'm going for Ryan Evans. how about you?" Barry replied. "I'm going for Gabriella I love her charac-" Dawn suddenly got interrupted by Barry. " Did I ever tell you the story of how scored big time at my last football game?" "Um no. And I don't want to know. Now will you let me finish? Thank you." Barry just stood there dumbfounded about how she reacted.

   Gary kept trying to ask leaf out on a date but she kept declining and put her hand in his face to shut him up. Leaf didn't which role she got. Gary wanted to be Troy, the lead. Ash walked over to Serena and decided to greet her. " Hey I'm Ash what's your name and what role are you trying out for?" Ash greeted with a cheesy grin. " I - I'm S - S - Serena. I - I'm t - trying out for Kelsi Nielsen." Serena managed to stutter out. "I'm going for Zeke Baylor. Big roles aren't for me." Me too Serena thought. Alyssa recognized her old friend Serena and remembered her from middle school. "Huh. She's finally found someone." Alyssa thought.

   "Class is dismissed! Please go to your lunch. I will see you all tomorrow for auditions during your lunch time." Everyone scrambled out of the class room to get to lunch either to eat cause their starving or because the were ready to gossip.
