cory

cory woke up and he was cold. he groaned, pushing himself off the freezing linoleum floor with his sore arms. shivering, he blinked his eyes against the burning white light and cracked his knuckles, enjoying the release of pressure from his hands. he looked over to robin.

robin was sleeping peacefully, cuddling one of the multiple pillows on his hospital bed. he looked so cute. cory smiled, and got to his knees. he softly caressed robin's head, giving him a smile as he noticed the tired boy's eyelids flutter open.

"morning, sunshine." cory teased, leaning over and giving robin a soft peck on the forehead. robin's cheeks turned pink and he covered his face with his hands. he rubbed his blue eyes and groaned. "i feel like shit."

"well, no kidding, you look like shit." cory quipped, getting to his feet. "uh, i- i mean, uh-"

robin giggled. god, cory thought, he's so fucking cute.

"hey, i'm gonna uhh, i'm gonna go get us something to eat, alright? when are you getting discharged? do you need me to pay for the bills? are you feeling okay?" cory fretted. he suddenly felt obligated to take care of robin. he'd put him through so much and he felt like he needed to repay him. but in what way?

robin

robin sighed. cory had gone to the cafeteria to pick up some food. in the meantime, some nurses came to his room to help him with prescriptions, bills, and whatnot. as he stood patiently waiting for cory to return, his head swarmed with thoughts. he thought about what dicky had said, about cory, the kissing, the sex, the fighting, the pain, everything...

robin jumped as he felt a sharp tap on his shoulder. he turned, finding cory holding two iced coffees and a large paper bag. he gave a cheeky grin, and robin found himself blushing.

"well, i bought us breakfast. sorry, i didnt know if you wanted hot or iced coffee... i guess i should've-"

"cory, no, it's okay! you've done so much to help me. i lov- i mean, i'm just really happy you're here." robin couldn't help but smile. he loved cory so much.

the pair walked out of the building and into the crowded parking lot, passing car after car. they finally reached cory's black mercedes. cory opened the door for robin, who blushed, and went around the vehicle to get into the driver's seat.

they drove home, talking about robin's situation, which made him feel progressively worse. though, cory was there, and he made robin happy.

the black mercedes pulled into the driveway of cory's home, and the two men stepped out of the car. cory walked around the front of the vehicle and tossed his keys up and down in his hand. robin looked at him and blushed, reaching for the taller man's hand. cory grabbed it and they walked inside. together.

robin changed out of his clothes, putting on a borrowed t-shirt and some jeans of his that he'd left at cory's house. he looked at himself in the mirror, spun around, and walked out of the room, where he met cory in the kitchen. the two sat down on the barstools facing each other, drinks in hand. they laughed, talked, and chugged glass after glass.

cory smacked his glass down once more, his face red. "yeah, dicky's kind of a dick... what a fucking asshole." he scoffed, then gave robin a warm smile.

the thoughts of dicky punching him because of a simple kiss flooded robin's head. was it his fault? it was his fault. robin's face fell, and cory's smile faltered. "are you okay? robin?"

robin's face crumpled and tears welled in his eyes, spilling out onto his cheeks and falling onto his blue jeans. he gave a heaving sob and tears fell off his face in rivulets. he was broken, falling apart, with nothing to do but cry.
