After we were done at the cafe we went back to my house. We walked in and sat in the living room. "Hey girls why don't you watch movies or something?" My mom said picking up things off of the floor. "Millie do you want to?" I asked looking at Millie play with her fingers."I do if that's ok with you" Millie said smiling at me sheepishly. "We can watch it in my room if you want" I offered. "Yeah that'd be great" Millie said quietly. "Follow me then" I said jumping off of the couch and running to my room. Millie opened the door to my room and her eyes grew wide "Woah this is so cool" Millie said looking at my room decor. "At the orphanage we aren't allowed to decorate our rooms" Millie said while looking at my succulent collection. "Come sit next to me" I whined as I patted the spot next to me. She sat next to me and waited for me to say something. "So what movie do you want to watch?" I asked looking through netflix. "Well I like horror but if you don't want to that's ok" Millie said not as quiet anymore.
I am absolutely terrified of horror but I won't let her know that. "Yeah I love horror" I lied. "Ooo then we should watch IT, it's my favorite movie ever" Millie said excitedly. I had not seen this side of her all day so I rented IT. The movie intro just started and I was already terrified. "My favorite character has always been Stan because i relate to him the most" Millie said In a hushed tone. "I-I think my favorites Richie he makes the movie funny" I nervously laughed. We got to the part of the leper and I screamed "stop stop I can't do this anymore!!" Then Millie just laughed. "What's so funny?" I asked angrily. "I was waiting for you to crack"she said then snorted. She turned bright red but we just laughed it off. "I'm sorry I was to scared to finish the the movie" I said timidly. "Its fine but what should we do now?" She asked. "Well maybe we could make brownies" I said racing to the kitchen. Millie came running in breathing heavily "you really need to stop doing that" she said laughing. I took out all the stuff to make the brownies and set them on the counter. We started with putting the brownie mix into a bowl. We accidentally inhaled some of the mix and started a coughing frenzy. Eventually we put the eggs and oil into the bowl with the mix. Then I turned on 'cooking by the book lil John Remix' Millie began to laugh hard. She then started to mix the contents in the bowl together then lil John's part came on and Millie did Lana del Rey's iconic 'slut drop' and my jaw dropped and I started to feel tickly. What the hell is happening to me!! I bit my lip in nervousness and watched as she kept dancing. Eventually the batter fully mixed and we put it in the pan and put it in the oven. "So you listen to Lana?" I asked amused. "Yeah she's one of my favorite artists" Millie said smiling wide. Then we just had a dance party to Lana del Rey's songs and there was tons of slut drops. We finally heard the ding of the oven telling us the brownies were ready. We set them down to cool and continued our dance party. We went back after getting tired and grabbed a brownie. Millie was about to take a bite when the door bell rang. "Shoot" she said before my mom yelled "Millie Mrs. Linda is here to pick you up". She wrapped her brownie in a paper towel. "See you later Sink" Millie said winking at me then she left with Mrs. Linda right after.
