Chapter One
"Ryan! Give. Me. The. Lucky. Charms. Before. I. Kick. Your. Ass." My best friend Lilly threatened. It is Saturday morning and I am at my best friends house, Lilly Matthews. She has thick fake blonde hair and big puppy brown eyes. Lilly has been my best friend for the past four years and I absolutely love her to death. Normally I eat eggs or raisin bran for breakfast but today I stole Lilly's favorite cereal, Lucky Charms.
"Why should I Lillers? What's in it for me?" I danced around her holding the cereal up in the air.
"Because it is my cereal, not yours. I actually paid for that this time so hand it over and nobody gets hurt." She hissed at me through clenched teeth. That was true, she did have me there.
"Hm, I don't think I will little miss shorty." I smirked as I held the box higher. Lilly was pretty short but then again, I was shorter. Lilly was 5'3 and I was 5'1, making life pretty tough for me. But somehow I managed to hold it just out of her reach.
With that being said Lilly screamed before jumping towards me, grabbing my bright orange hair. I quickly threw the box into the air and screamed, biting her arm which was the closest thing to my mouth. I got a knee to the stomach for that. I quickly grabbed behind her knee, jerking that up I elbowed her stomach and pushed her onto her stomach on the ground. Then I grabbed her wrists and held them together while straddling her, for some reason I was pretty good when it came to fights and such.
"Girls! Stop this right now. Ryan, you need to come with me." Mr. Matthews said as he pulled me off of his daughter. Mr. Matthews was pretty young for having an eighteen year old daughter. He was tall, strong, and pretty chill. Something was definitely up today.
"Mr. Matthews, what is wrong? Where are you taking me?" I whispered as he half dragged me out of his house and into his car, leaving Lilly staring as we drove away from their house.
I started wringing my fingers, nervous. There wasn't much that could go wrong with my life. My mother is in jail for drugs and my father killed himself when I was nine, I'm now seventeen. My grandma passed away when I was eleven and I had no other relatives, I lived in an orphanage till I was sixteen when Lilly's family took me in. He hadn't answered my question so I gently touched his arm, which made him jerk back into reality.
"Well the thing is that you are going to London, England to live with your Uncle. You are being sent there right away, you will be able to buy some clothes there." He eyed me just then taking in my appearance. My orange hair was a mess, I had no make-up on, which was normal, and I was wearing just a hoodie with no shirt under it and some short shorts with no shoes on.
"Well, I'll buy you some shoes at the airport, I have money set aside for you along with a credit card." He made a quick turn and the airport was suddenly there. England? ENGLAND? I didn't even know I had this damned Uncle anyway!
"I cannot go. This isn't right. Why can't I stay with you guys? I've been here my whole life. Nobody took me after my Grandma died, so why now? Why does it fricken matter now that I'm happy as hell?!" I screamed as I kicked his dashboard. Tears were streaming down my face as I looked at him. He had his head in his hands, crying too.
"I didn't want you to go but they just found him. You will be alright with him. He is a billionaire and has a grand life for you back in London. You will be fine, you will make it Ryan." He took my hand he spoke. We sat in silence but then something snapped inside of him and he wiped my tears away and opened the door. He took my hand and lead me inside.
