Chapter 5: My Hero

I walked through the halls and everyone was starring at me. They were whispering again about god knows what.

I stopped at my locker which was spray painted with the word Hoe on it. I took a deep breath and opened my locker. A bunch of flyers started falling out and i picked one up.

It had my picture and address on it and it said, "Free blowjobs!"

I balled it up and threw it on the ground. I closed my locker to see Derek and his possy standing beside me.

"What do you want?" I asked.

"I told you what i want. You didn't listen so now you're socially dead." He smiled.

Standing a few inches behind him was Kaden, that jerk. I bet he believed every word Derek said. He's just another one of Derek's puppets.

"Whats that?" Derek shouted.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

Everyone started looking at us and forming a circle around us.

"You want me to give you the D?" He said louder.

I looked around as everyone was laughing and looking at me in disgust.

I wanted to slap him and say something really rude but i couldn't. I was out numbered, nobody believed me anymore.

"HOE!" A girl shouted from a distance.

Tears started forming in my eyes as everyone began calling me names. I looked at Kaden and he just looked away. I quickly walked as everyone made a path for me. I walked faster and faster and then i just dropped everything and ran.

I finally made it outside and i stopped to catch my breath. Tears were flowing from my eyes and i could barely breathe. I fell to the ground and covered my face with my hands. My life was over.

"Hey." someone said in a soft tone.

I uncovered my face and looked up to see Kaden standing beside me.

"What do you want. Do you want to tease me some more? Go ahead okay!" I said trying to get the words out.

He kneeled down next to me, "Come on." he said.

"What?" I replied confused.

"We're going back inside." He said.

I looked at him like he was the stupidest person on earth.

"Are. Are you kidding me? Did you see what just happened? I don't. I can't be here anymore. I can't be in that school. I don't want to go back i just i want to die already." I started crying really hard and i could feel Kaden's hand on my shoulder.

"I'm going to be right next to you. If you don't go back in there you'd just be giving them power over you."

He was actually right, me running away makes them feel like they accomplished something. Like they've just defeated me.

He got up and held out his hand. I looked at him still confused of what his purpose was. Why was he helping me now? The guy who was teasing me before, why would he want to help me now?

I took his hand as he helped me up.

"Ready?" He asked.

"Sure." I replied wiping the tears from my eyes.

As we walked in side by side everyone just looked at us.

"Why is he with her?" A girl whispered to her friend.

"She's probably going to give him a blowjob or something." Someone replied.

I closed my eyes for a second and then quickly opened them.

I wanted to turn back, i couldn't do this. People were still whispering and laughing at me. I couldn't do this. I didn't want to. But then i felt Kaden's hand slip through mine. I looked at him as he just kept looking forward. What was his purpose?

I stayed silent as we walked to our class and then to our seats.

I turned to look at him, "Why are you doing this?" I asked.

"I just don't like seeing someone so hurt. Unless i do it to them." He said as he smirked.
