Well, that was embarrassing. I hope he doesn't say anything else. He's a real douche.
I turned and whispered that to Iris. She giggled and agreed with me. Maybe I actually have a shot with her. Who cares if she's different?
She seems....familiar. Where have I seen her before? I thought about it all through class but couldn't remember.
The rest of the day went pretty well. I got to see how amazing Iris is at art. Finally, the end of the day rolled around.
"So, are you walking home or taking the bus?" Iris asked me.
"I'm walking." I replied.
"Um...well....I could walk with you. And, if you want, you can come over and I can help you with your homework. I know you were confused on some parts. But only if you want to. You don't have to."
"That's sounds great. I'll call my mum and let her know." I said. Maybe she actually likes me!
We walked for a while until I noticed something strange.
"Um...Iris?"
"Yeah?"
"This is my road."
"Well, it's my road, too."
"Wait....."
"Wait....."
We both then realized that we live next to each other. No wonder she looked familiar. I remember meeting her parents, but she never came out of her room.
"Well," she said "this is awkward."
