Chapter 7

As the slide show ended we all looked at each other, there was a comfortable silence. We all nodded to each other not wanting to ruin the moment and went our separate ways to the bedrooms and I feel fast asleep.
*dream*
Off in the distance of a play ground I hear a small child yelling.
"Push me daddy! Push me daddy!" The small boy says with a smile. I see Craig pushing the child. I walk up behind him wrapping my arms around his waist resting my chin on his shoulder.
"This is the life Ty! Having a son, you, a home, and all we could ask for!" Craig says looking back at me smiling.
I smile back at him kissing his nose. "You got that right Min. What would I do without you and him! I couldn't ask for a better life". Craig and I sit down on a bench and he rests his head on my and I kiss it. He looks up at me with those big brown eyes and smiles.
We then leave and go to our house and snuggle on the couch to watch a movie. The little one in a chair with a stuffed animal, Craig and I laying together on the big couch.
*end dream*
I wake up in the bed I fell asleep in and I sigh. "Why couldn't that be real?"
I look over at the clock and it reads 9:13 am.
"I wanna go for a walk" I snicker and get dressed. I walk down the stairs and see that Evan is up.
"Hey Ev. What's up?" I say nodding at him.
"Nothing much. Just having some coffee. What are you doing up?" He says taking a sip of his drink.
"I felt like going for a walk today. Wanna come with?" I ask putting on my shoes.
"Sure why not" he says putting on his shoes.
We walk out the door and start our journey. We walk down to the park and I see a small boy like from my dream on the swing getting pushed by his mum.
"How did you sleep Ty?" Evan asks breaking the silence.
"I slept really well. Had a beautiful dream of Craig and I. We had a kid." I say with a smile.
"Nice! Actually Tyler, I've been meaning to talk to you about something." He says getting a little nervous.
"What's up bud?" I say looking at him stopping.
"Johnathan and I are....uh...taking in a kid."  He says with a sigh of relief.
"Really? That's great! I'm so happy for you." I say hugging him.
"We would really appreciate it if you came with us. Just to help with the process. We are going today." He finishes and I smile at him.
"Of course I will come. I would be honored. Of course I'm not much for kids but if that's what y'all want I will be glad to help!"
"Thanks man!" He says jumping a little.
We continue walking and come across a store.
"Ev lets go in and see if we can find some things for the kid" I say dragging him into a kid store.
"Ok!" He says and is dragged.
We walk in and there is an array of stuffed animals and toys. There is a candy counter and a story room. Some kids are running around the store. We walk to the isle with blocks and building stuff.
"You think the kid would like some blocks? Or some paint or something. I'm not that good with kids!" I say with a smile and he picks out a lego set.
"Let's get some stuffed animals too." Evan says getting a small basket.
He picks out a raccoon, owl, pig, and a fox then walks to the checkout lane.
The lady ringing us up looks at us and smiles. "You both are cute! What a lucky kid y'all must have" she says smiling.
"Actually him and I aren't together." Evan says and swipes his card and takes the bag.
We both walk out of the store and start our walk back to the house.
We get back to the house and see that all the boys are gone except Johnathan. Evan kisses his lips softly and shows him the toys we bought.
"Tyler helped out. He also agreed to go with us today!" Evan says smiling at me.
"It's really no problem!" I say sitting down on the couch. "What time are we going?"
"We are leaving around 2 so we are gonna go get ready. You know where everything is. Make yourself comfortable!" John says and makes his way with Evan upstairs. I go up to my room and get showered and dressed and stuff and I can't stop thinking of that dream.
A few hours later. The boys call me down and we all load into the car. Here we go.

This chapter is gonna be short. The next one is the last one of this book. I'm so happy to finally finish this story. I really hope y'all like it. Love y'all. Tyler.
