Alex's POV
I was woken up by a tap on my shoulder it was skylar she points at the drivers seat indicating it was my turn to drive. So I get out and get into the drivers seat. I sit down and start the car when I look up I almost gasp we where at the beginning of the Lincoln tunnel. I look over at skylar who was ready to fall asleep and she nodes and whispers
"I think it is a good idea to look around and see what is left of New York City" and with that skylar passed out in the passengers seat.
I look back to see if anyone else was up. when I look back I see that all of them are passed out so I turn the car on and start down the tunnel. I looked back on last night where we told James and Eldilio all about are powers they took it better then I expected. I focus on driving in the tunnel and notice how well I am doing. I guess I am doing so well because my dad took me out to drive in a open field a week before the virus hit. It was one of my last memories of my dad.I start to drift off in the past and realize that the last two weeks before my parents passed they where trying to fit every thing that I would need in my life in those two weeks. I wondered if they thought the virus was going to hit soon or if it was just a coincidence.
I get snapped back to reality by the car jerking to the side. So I stratin it back out and notice that we where coming to The end of the tunnel so I honk the horn to wake every one up. They all start to slowly lift their heads and Tessa and Becky said
"Where are we"
" New York City" Skylar replies
"Why are we in New York City?" Eldilio questions
" because Skylar thinks it is a good idea to see what has become of NYC and I agree."I say to Eldilio
Eldilio just nods his head and starts looking out the window. With that we drove in silence for the next 20 to 30 mins. As we drove I noticed that NYC was actually not in that bad of a shape I mean their was weeds every where and broken windows but other then that I looked about the same. As soon as I started thinking more the car started slowing down. I pull over to the side and look at the gas and see that it is at zero.
"why have we stoped" James asked
"i belive we are out of gas" I respond
"great just great now we are stuck in the middle NYC and all the gas stations are empty what do we do?" Becky said in a panic
"we are not stuck we have things called legs that u walked on and run oh and even jump." commented
"oh yeah blond moment" Becky said
With that we all laughed and got out of the car, as soon as we got out i noticed we where right next to Central Park. We all look up at one of the many entrances to Central Park.
"Should we go in" I ask
"Umm not the best plain but their could be some sort of fruit tree there so it could come out positive." Skylar responded
"Oh yay fruit trees I hope they have apple trees, I like apples." Eldilio said enthusiastically
We have been walking around the park looking for fruit trees for ten minutes. So far it has been really boring but we have been playing I spy with my little eye and it was James turn again.
"I spy with my little eye something green" James said
"Leaves I guess" because it has been that way the last two times.
"Nope it was grass" James replayed happily
"Well u aren't supposed to tell us the answer" Eldilio commented
We all laughed but then their was two screens coming from are left.
