--IN THE BEGINNING--
THE sun was slowly descending further into the mountains, growing darker by the minute. The winding road was hard to concentrate on. Especially, while it was raining. I turned my brights on and put my windshield wipers on high. The sound of the rain hitting the windshield let off a steady beat, losing me to my thoughts. I was thinking of my cousins, whom I had just visited, when I had remembered the intersection up ahead. That's when I noticed a girl just standing there in the middle of the road. I slammed on my brakes, but the road was, too, slippery, and I was sliding. I closed my eyes waiting for that immediate "thud," but it never came. I looked up and saw the girl just standing inches from my car. I got out and noticed how pale and cold she looked.
"Are you crazy?" I asked, "Why are you standing in the middle of the road?"
She just stared at me with pale blue eyes, shivering.
"Are you cold?" I asked.
She just nodded, so I handed her my sweatshirt, which she gratefully put on.
"Do you need a ride?"
She nodded.
"All right, hop in," I said.
The whole ride was silent except for the rain and the questions she nodded to. I couldn't quite figure out why she had requested a rear seat, though.
"I have to get some gas up ahead."
She nodded.
I looked in the mirror and noticed she was carrying a book with a brown, leather cover. Under the sweatshirt I noticed she was wearing an old-styled pale, pink, silk dress and matching ballet flats. Her brown hair was held back by a pink bow. She looked about my age; seventeen. The elegant outfit made her look older, more mature and classier than me. I just couldn't grasp how pale she looked.
It was still pouring, but up ahead I saw the gas station. I stopped, went in and prepaid for the gas. I put the gas in and jumped in the car, quickly, because I heard the woman mumbling something.
"Rebecca, Rebecca."
She was saying my name. When did I tell her my name? I wondered. Maybe it slipped. Oh, well. I turned around to see what she wanted.
She said, "Rebecca, be careful on this road; it's dangerous." Then she just disappeared. She literally vanished.
Th whole thing freaked me out, but I kept driving home wondering what she meant about danger and where she went. When I got home I realized she still had my sweatshirt.

--A COUPLE DAYS LATER--
I was driving home from my cousins house, down that same road. It was dark and pouring out, just like a couple of days ago. Given the circumstances, this was d'e javu. I was getting close to that intersection, when I thought of what that girl had said, "Rebecca, be careful on this road." I slowed down after I realized I was speeding. That's when my headlights reflected off of something shiny. It was a large... metal... wall? I slammed on my brakes, but once again I was sliding because of the slippery roads. I closed my eyes waiting for the impact and this time I felt it. I felt the airbag hit me from up front and something hard hit me from behind.. I felt around to make sure I was still intact and I was. I heard the sirens bellowing out. Then, everything went blurry and black.
