New found Crush

Madi's Pov
"Get up! It's almost 6:30 and you have a lot to do young lady!"
I groaned as my dad ripped the covers off me, the cold air surrounding my exposed legs. It was Monday, my least favorite day ever. I had to get up and deal with everyone's bullshit today, and there was a fantastic rumor going around that I am dating some stupid kid, who I barely know and that I am definitely not dating! I brushed my teeth, washed my face, and did my hair. I looked at myself in the mirror, and practically wanted to die as I saw the acne and how frizzy my hair was.

I arrived at school and walked in to my hallway, welcomed by my friends Brynne, Olivia, Kaci, Spencer, and also Lindsey. I stood next to Lindsey by choice, and Brynne looked at me weird when she caught me staring. She raised an eyebrow and I turned my head, pretending to be confused on what she was hinting at.

"Are we doing a staring contest over here?" She pointed towards me, "Only that your rival is Lindsey's body?"
I felt a heavy blush on my face as I lightly kicked Brynne.
"No!" I shouted, as people looked over for a second, then turnt back to their dumb conversations.
I heard Lindsey laugh as I turned to see her, I was taller, but just by a little. She put her hand around my back and looked at Brynne.
"Everyone try's to have staring contests with my body, I even caught you once Brynne, Ethan wouldn't be very happy!"
I held in my laughter knowing Brynne would kill me if I even let out a peep. Ethan was her ginormous crush, that she has had for almost 7 years!
"Shut up!!! I'm not gay, I'll leave that to you too!"
Me and Lindsey locked eyes for a minute then turned to face Brynne
"We aren't either. Just close friends, duh." She said
Lindsey looked at me, kinda sad. Maybe that we were being called gay or maybe that we are just friends I couldn't tell, but I could only hoped for the second one.
