Sunshine peeking through the leaves of the cherry tree, the smooth grass under my toes and the fresh Spring breeze caressing my cheeks.
Laying down on the grass, under that tree looking up to the sky. From time to time I'd get up just to pick up some delicious cherries. Steadily breathing, in and out.
What a beautiful afternoon. I absolutely adore quiet afternoons. Aka 'Lazy afternoons'. I love to romantasie things, okay? but I've already said that's what daydreamers do. We are, how could I describe it? Agh, whatever, I have no idea but that's our thing. We romantasie stuff, way too must sometimes. Must of the time.
Anyways, I was just chilling there, when all of a sudden I heard giggles. I looked up, left and right, pretending that I didn't know were they came from. I already knew that my two little monsters were hidding behind the tree. "Booo" and here we go... They came out screaming, in an attempt to scare me. Bianca, my 8 year-old cousin and Luz my 10 year-old sister.
"AHHH! SWEET SUGAR CANDY! You scared me!" I exaggeratedly yelled bacm, as I brought my hands to my chest, breathing heavily with my mouth agape. With a fast move, I took Bianca by the wrist bringing her to my lap and started tickling her.
"So you wanted to give me a heart attack? Huh?" I said trying to sound annoyed, but failing miserably. I ended up cracking in laughter, as expected.
"Stop it Ivyyy!" My little sister said, laughing and dragging me by my forearm. She lost her balance tho, and she also fell in my embrace.
Now the three of us were laying on the grass, out of breath and smiling like dorks."Ivy, We actually came to ask you something" Luz said with a shy tone.
"Ahh I knew you were up to something!" I exclaimed, with a grin pointing at them. Ohh boy, they wanted attention so I sat up and I placed them at both my sides.
"what do you both want?" I asked, looking at those two carefully as they were standing up to face me.
"Okay Bianca go ahead, ask her"
"WHAT? But It wasn't me who wanted to ask"
"But you are younger"
"Well, you are older"
"I know I am, you don't have to remind me of that!"
"Ask her already! I want to know" Bianca comanded irritaded.
"If you want to know...just ask her yourself" Luz replied, crossing her arms across her chest and pouting like a baby.
"Wait! Where are you going?" Bianca came running at me and took me by the hand. I was heading back inside grandma's house, but I stoped when I felt her little hand grip mine.
"These two....always bickering" I mumubled and sighed.
"Why were you leaving Tata?" Luz complained, with such high pitched voice, that the angels would ask her for vocal coaching.
"You were bickering like babies again, and I'm running late" I tried to leave but Bianca stopped me again.
"Why? Ivy! Just 5 min" Bianca begged.
"I'm meant to hang out with Sara today. Spring break is almost over! And I'm already 10 min late" I answered while kneeling down to meet her gaze.
"Can you, at least, hear our question?"
"Mm let me think" I said with a sing-song voice, closing my eyes and tapping my lips with my index finger.
