Bullied

I walked into the school, again silently. I had a few bruises on my face and my lip had a cut through it. But of course I covered it with my hood. My hoodie was large enough to cover right below my butt and my school uniform skirt with the black stockings too. I walked quietly in the crowd of students until I reached my locker.

I heard the clicking of heels stop right next to me and I took in a breath. When I turned my head, there they were. Rebecca and her possy. They glared at me and I put my head down.

"Isn't today someones birthday? Finally 17 I see. I bet your mother slept with the principal to let you skip a grade didn't she?" A crowd had started to form around us as Rebecca kept talking.

"I wonder how many guys she's slept with. I bet you got your sluttiness from her. Wasn't she like a big time slut or something? Selling herself for money to pay for drinks at the bars?" I shook my head no and felt a tear slip out.

"I bet mommy is at home already fucking another one of your teachers for a better grade." I felt more tears fall and I looked up.

"M-my mo-mom is not a sl-slut." I said with a soft, cracking voice. The smirk on her face grows.

"Did the slut just talk? I wonder. Does momma slut talk? I bet she's a silent whore too." I let a sob out and with all of the strength I had, I push her to the ground and punch her hard in the face. As I punched her a few more times, tears violently fell down my cheeks. I was sobbing and when I went to punch her once more, I felt two strong arms wrap around my waist pulling me away from Rebecca. I tried getting free, ready to strike another hit but the strong arms held me away from her tightly.

"Let m-me g-go!" I felt the person behind me, trap me in their chest, trying to calm me down. But the words hurt to much to stop crying.

I was pulled away from the crowd by the one and only Noah Corey. Noah stopped walking and pushed me into the lockers.

"What the hell is wrong with you? Why would you punch Rebecca?" I let out whimpers as he yelled at me.

"Sh-she cal-called my m-mom a sl-slut." He scoffs and rolls his eyes.

"She could be. You never know." He states coldly. I wanted to scream at him for how much of a stupid bastard he was and I blurted out whatever was on my mind.

"You fucking asshole!! My mom was murdered!! While she had cancer, she's fucking dead you heartless coward!!" My hood slipped off and after he processed what I said and took in my face, He gave me this look of guilt and sorrow.

"People like you should stop assuming. You never end up with the right answer once you lose the person with the truth." I said with a look of disbelief and pain across my face. With that I put my hood back up and walk away.

Halfway towards the lobby, the principle forces me into the office. My dad was there too. Anger was written all over his face. Not because I got into a fight but because he had to drag his lazy ass hungover self here. We all know he couldn't give two shits about me.

"Miss Lavern. Please have a seat. We have some conflicts to attend to." I nod and sit down in the chair right next to my father.

"You are aware of your daughter getting in to fights r..." And so that conversation started.

A very uncomfortable one at that.

Noah's POV:

Murdered. Who would have known that. What I can't believe is that  I said that to her. She was so right. You will never actually know the truth if you assume.

I watched as Hayden's father drags her harshly out to the deserted drive way and stops her at the car. He was looking down at her with such anger and hatred. Her head was hung low. She looked scared and upset. Well one would know why she was upset.

I watched as she flinched when he spoke or... yelled? She hesitantly looks up at him and his hand comes hard down on her face as the force pushes her head to the side. It seemed as if he was saying nasty things to her.

And then he did it again. Her body was shaking with fear and she looked like a child that just got scolded.

Suddenly he punches her in her face hard enough to knock her to the ground. But the thing is she didn't fight back. I ran out the doors when I saw he was lifting his leg up to kick her.

"Don't you dare lay another finger on her." I said with a deep voice. I sounded like I was going to beat him to his death.

"Don't tell me what to do, boy. Now leave us alone." I felt a wave of anger in me, but I knew I had to hold back. The father lifted his hand towards me and I was ready for the impact. But the thing is it never came.

I open my eyes slowly and cautiously only to see Hayden on the ground in front of me. She was holding her cheek and I heard the little whimpers that escaped her mouth. She took the blow. For me.

"Fine take her for all I care. But don't come running back to me when you get bored of the bitch." He picks her up by her arm and pushes her into me. I catch her quickly before she hits the ground again and I support her as she leans into me.

"Just like your mother. Worthless and weak." He turns and walks away leaving a barely standing girl in my arms. I felt the shivers and heard the whimpers. I knew she was badly hurt.

And it's most likely not from the hits she just got.
