I originally wrote "Waiting Room" as fanfiction. After some encouraging comments, I decided to turn it into an original story.
Some trigger warnings: mentions of suicide and suicidal ideation, dealing with a parent's terminal illness, a couple of homophobic slurs, strong language, teen drinking/drug use.
