Chap. 1 : That Smile

Mon(ster)day Morning, Brown Sugar

Chen POV

"Good Morning Dyoo~~" I greet him

"Good morning hyungg, ahhh I hate mondayyyy" D.O reply

"All people hate monday, that is why it called monster day on purpose haha" I said while tidy up customers table. The guest just went out and left us alone.

"Yeah, true that. By the way, why is noona haven't arrived yet?"

"She have arrived, she still talking with Xiumin hyung. I envy them, when I'm going to have girlfriend?"

"Yeah~~~ Me too, they are sooo romantic together."

"Good morning guysss!! Sorry for being late haha. I'm going to change my uniform first okayy" Clara noona burst in.

"ye noonaa" dyo and I replied.

*Ting

The bell ring, means someone just enter to our coffee shop.

A girl with high school uniform, with hair as black as coal, and  sunshine yellow backpack. Why is she here? Want to skip school again huh?

"Good morning, here is the menu." I give her the menu with big smile

"Kamsahamida, may I have affogato and cheese sticks please?" she smile and order politely. Even though she skips school, she always act politely to people older than her.

"of course, please wait a minutes" I take the menu and ask D.O to make affogato and cheese sticks.

After D.O finished the order, Clara take the tray and walk away to the only one customer that time.

"wait noona, let me give this to her." I stop her

"aigooo, weyo?" she asked

"Nothing noona, I just want to give this to her" I replied and walk to her.

"one affogato and cheese stick is ready" I put the tray and pour the small glass of expresso to the ice cream on the medium-sized glass(affogato).

"Kamsahamida" she replied

"Are you going to skip your school again?" I asked her

"Of course not! I'm too lazy to make breakfast in the morning. Thats why I always come here in the morning" she pout

"ah, I see~~ your parents don't make breakfast for you?" my judgment about her wrong. As usually.

she chuckle, "So you always judge me skip my school when I come here? Should I stop then? My parents are abroad, since I don't want to live abroad, they send me here. To my uncle boarding school" She smile

"No, you don't have too. I'm sorry for judging you wrongly"

"No, it's ok"

After that short conversation, I go back to my position in front of cashier machine. She enjoy her breakfast, she is so cute. All food that she eat always seem soo tasty. She make me hungry.

*Ting

another guests have come. I serve them as usual. Then, i saw her pay the bill that Clara give and go out to her school.

I tidy up the table she used before.My eyes stuck on her backpack that moving up and down as she walk.

"She'll come back tomorrow, you can talk to her again. Please take order from another guests now." Clara chuckle and pat my shoulder.

"No, noonaaaa.." I replied, I feel embarrassed.

"What no? She is our customer, you don't want to meet her again?" she teased me.

I ignore her and continue with my job.

13.00

"At last, busy hours ended~~" Clara noona said after putting the dishes on dishwasher.

"Yeah~ so many people come today." D.O respond

"Two more hours to go, I have class after this." I said while lean my body to the cashier table.

"Me too" Clara reply me.

Now, we only have 3 guests enjoy their foods and drink. D.O is buzy with his coffee machine and Clara noona is having break.

XOXO by EXO is played from noona's mp3. Nice song, I like this atmosphere. I look outside, it's wind blows happily blow away the falling leave. Autumn season, I love autumn.

"Hyung.." said D.O

"yeah?" I look at him

"Drink this, affogato." He give me medium sized

"Thanks"

Chanyeol enter the shop from the back door. He came early again, what a nice worker. He give us smile.

"Hei Chen, Dyo~" he greet us

"Hei~ you come early again, as usual" Dyo reply him, while me only give him a smile as an answer

"of course, be happy! Dyo, can you make me ice tea latte?" Chanyeol start to walk to workers room.

"In a minute~~" D.O come back to his date with the machine~

*Ting

That high school girl come. Again. Being pull harshly by a middle-aged man. Not at school dismissal time, still 2 more hours to be dismissed. Then why she is here again?

I give both of them the menu, she look at me and smile. Not the smile she gave me this morning. It's her bitter smile, she look so sad.

"One expresso and you?" the middle-aged man to the her

"Cappuccino"

"So, one expresso and one cappuccino in a minute" I bow and tell D.O the order

I can see from cashier table that the middle-aged man start to talk to her. Her seems different, no smile nor expression. After the coffee ordered by them done, I put the coffee cups on their table. Like usually that girl say thanks and smile at me.

I serve another guests, giving their bill, and clean their table. The corner of my eyes still paying attention at both of them, I have bad feelings.

"Chen-ah you can go if you want. I'm ready to work now." Chanyeol said

"Just tell Clara noona to go first, I will wait until my shift done." I replied him while looking at him

*BANGGG

We all startled. No sound made by us nor the guests, only the song keep on accompany us for a while.

Our eyes stuck on one table, that middle-aged man and the girl. He smack the table to release his anger towards the girl.

He open his wallet take some of his money and throw it harshly to the table before he went out.

That girl need a couple of seconds to stand up. She bow to all of us saying sorry with her sorrowful smile before walk out the shop.

I body still froze after she went out, doesn't realize our shift have ended couple of minutes ago. Riana have come to replace D.O . I change my clothes and walk away to my university, still thought about what happen to the girl.
