"Hey Paige?" I rolled over on the grass field we were sitting in so I was facing her. "Are you coming to Finn's party tomorrow night?"

Finn- the jack ass who's gran's house I accidentally "broke into" a few days ago - sent out a text message to most of the seniors this morning.

From: Finn Ryder

To: all students

Content:

Oi losers. Party at mine 6:00pm Friday night. Bring beer and babes.

Jay bring the shots

I groaned at how immature his texting skills were- but I can't help it if he lacks education.

"I dunno, I don't want to see Harry there," Paige lay on her stomach, resting her head in her arms, picking at the grass with her red fingers nails.

Harry- the jerk who broke my best friend's heart three weeks ago- was a senior at our school last year. He also happens to be Finn's older brother.

He broke up with Paige through a text message- after they had been dating for almost six months.

Personally, he screamed jerk to me - but I put up with him for Paige's sake.

This was the exact text:

Soz bby. This wont work. I'm gonna c some1 else now. Gtg delete my no.

He was a complete idiot for letting Paige go, although he was probably doing her a favour. Who would want to be stuck with an older version of Finn?!

A tiny voice inside me said I wouldn't mind being with Finn, but I brushed it off. Stupid kindergarten emotions.

"I doubt that moron will show his face. He's at college now. Or probably working at the local condom kingdom, you have nothing to worry about," I told her supportively.

Paige covered her face with her hands and rolled onto her back. Shielding her eyes from the sun she turned her head sideways to look at Chris, who was running track.

That was why we were sitting here on the grass in the middle of the senior field.

It was our only free class all together for another week, so we decided to hang out here.

Chris was finishing his track training with a gaggle of blushing freshmen at heel.
