Kenma stared blankly at his wall. He just sat on the corner of his room, hugging his knees to his chest. He had been crying since the day yesterday. This is the effect of his best friend, Kuroo, who died on that day. It was due to the black cat being very sick. Kenma was the one who took Kuroo to the vet and took care of it, hoping his best friend would get better soon but his efforts were obviously futile.

Tears started to form around Kenma's eyes again. It's just painful to even think about what they had gone through together. Kuroo was the one who cheered Kenma up and was the one who relieves Kenma's stress especially when it comes to volleyball.

But that's not all, That black cat was actually a gift from his beloved boyfriend, Kuroo. The one who's actually a nerdy human and brought Kenma to the world of volleyball. Kenma sniffled as he cried. Kuroo, the cat, was supposed to be his boyfriend's token of love for him. The day he received his cat was clear to him like it only happened yesterday.

"Kenma, look! I got you a cat~" Kuroo said, Holding up a black cat to Kenma's face. "I don't want it." He said, trying to resume his game. "Why not? You could think of him as me whenever I'm not around." Kuroo pulled Kenma's game from him so that he could focus on him causing the shorter male to groan. "It looks like me, Don't you see? It's adorable, Like me!"

Kenma sweatdropped at Kuroo. "He kinda does.." Smirking, Kuroo gave Kenma the cat.

"Hey, I'm not taking it-"

"You will."

"Will not."

"You will." With a loud sigh, Kenma gave up and took the cat home at the end of the day.

"Kenma!" Kenma felt himself hold his breath, he knows that voice all too well. He can hear the sound of his sliding door being opened followed by, "Hey, Look at me." Even though his face is hidden by his arms, Kenma already knew it was no other than his beloved boyfriend who jumped into his terrace, Kuroo's habit whenever he wants to see Kenma badly. Warm, slender hands reached Kenma, making the crying male look up, only to be greeted by Kuroo's concerned face.

"Kuroo.." Kenma choked as he called him. "Hey, Kenma." Kuroo greeted with a small smile, caressing Kenma's soft hair. "Why are you here..?" Kenma asked, averting his gaze from Kuroo in an attempt to not blush at the moment. "I was worried about you. You haven't gone out since that day."

"Can you blame me?"

"No.. But I want to cheer you up, Atleast a little." With that, the ravenette pulled Kenma up which caused the younger male to squeak in surprise.

"Kuroo.. I'm not in the mood-"

"Nonesense, I'm cheering you up, no matter what~! I promised to make you happy, didn't I?" Kenma pouted, looking away from Kuroo once again as pink dusted his cheeks. Kenma blinked as Kuroo made him turn and handed him an apple pie, His favorite.

"T-thanks.." Kenma uwrapped the pie and took a small bite. To Kuroo's disappointment, Kenma's face didn't look any better. He still looks sad and doesn't make eye contact with him. "Kenma." Kenma blinked as he felt his heart skip, hearing Kuroo say his first name. "Please. Come with me."

Kuroo held out his hand for Kenma to take. Kenma hesitated at first but fought his opposing side and followed the ravenette. Time seemed to atleast slow a little bit as in Kenma's perspective, It took a little longer to go to Kuroo's house when it's just right beside his house.

As they entered his house, Kuroo motioned Kenma to open the door to his room which the said male silently obliged. Kuroo lightly kicked the door shut behind him once the two of them stepped inside. Kenma slightly gaped at the sight before him that for the first time since he can't remember, He actually felt joy.

In Kuroo's room were various video games, apple pies on top of a table, various snacks beside different dvds. "You're gaping." Kuroo chuckled as Kenma immediately closed his mouth in embarassment.

Just then, He noticed a guitar just near by Kuroo before the raven grabbed it. "Remember, I'm always here for you. Please don't ever hesitate to go to me." Kuroo smiled and started to strum.

Kenma's eyes widened once Kuroo started to sing. As he sang, He was making eye contact with Kenma. Kuroo's voice was enchanting and beautiful, Kenma can't get the will to make him stop as thoughts danced around his brain.

'Has he always been this good at playing the guitar?'

'Wait, When did he even started to play it?'

Kenma wouldn't admit it but he thinks Kuroo's voice is hella beautiful that he could actually listen to him all day long. He savored the every bit of Kuroo's singing and much to his disappointment, Kuroo finished his song too fast for Kenma's liking.

"Did you like it?" Kuroo grinned at Kenma, having his hopes up. "No, I love it." Kuroo felt himself go hot just seeing Kenma's smile. "Thank God, It was worth it!" Kuroo beamed and hugged his beloved boyfriend. "I love you so much." The ravenette kissed Kenma's forehead. "I love you too. I can't thank you enough." Smirking, Kuroo parted from Kenma and held up a console and dvd. "Which one?"

"Those two can wait. I prefer this one." With that, Kenma hugged Kuroo. The raven's face wore a shock expression before slowly melting. Oh how he waited for the day Kenma chooses him than these stuff.

Later on, The two spent the day playing the video games Kuroo bought and watched marathons as they cuddle eachother.

Bonus scene:

"Do you want me to buy you another cat instead?"

"No thanks."

"That's what you said first when I gave you Kuroo. Then how about this, I can be your cat in exchange for your smile." Kenma smiles, "You're more important than a cat, Kuroo. Thank you for being here for me."

Kuroo blushed, "Naturally."
