Without any further ado,
Aizak rushed towards Claire, who was still knocked out. He lifted her and without knowing what to do, ran towards some stairs which were leading beneath the shop, he saw the old man running for cover too, but old man must have decided to take a different path because he rushed out of a door which might lead him inside the shop or something, Aizak thought glancing at him with corner of his eyes.

The whole place was falling into pieces! On his way towards the stairs, some debris fell very close to Aizak, he quickly moved out of the way, which sounds very unrealistic as he was carrying Claire in his arms while running!
But I think that how it works, isn't? The one you care about never actually comes into your way, when it seems like they are nothing but your weakness, in reality they are your Strength. They unlock the greater potential in you because you are ready to go to any extent in order to save them, maybe this was the same description of what Aizak's mind was going through.

The stairs led him to the basement of the shop, which have not suffered even a single scratch! He shifted Claire from his hands to the basement's ground. He felt something warm on his back, something dripping, he tried touching his back only to discover a shade of red. Apparently when he was covering for Claire while the incident happened he was far too focused on saving her than on himself so he never realized that some shards of glass pierced his back and now bit by bit he was losing the fluid which was holding his threshold of life, blood...

Claire gained consciousness and started mumbling until their eyes met. Claire's eyes widened as if she was not able to believe what she saw or rather whom she saw.

Aizak thought of explaining everything to her but before he could even begin, "Its fine, I know everything." She said.

"So you knew that I was following you?" Aizak asked, confusingly.

"No! But now I do." Claire answered, getting up.

She headed towards the stairs only to stop right on her tracks, as Aizak pulled her back grabbing her hand. "No way! This place is falling apart, its dangerous out there!" Being protective, Aizak warned her.

"My father is still there! I have to save him! I have to SAVE MY FATHER!!" She beamed.

Aizak was taken aback from this sudden disclosure, suddenly they heard firm footsteps followed by a cold voice from above, "Oh my dear darling! Come out already, I know you are here somewhere!".

Claire's face turned white, and within a moment she told Aizak to run away or else he was going to die, Surprisingly she did all this without even speaking a single word! It was like something was conveyed to his mind by her without any speaking involved! Trying his best to ignore this supernatural phenomenon that just happened, 'There is no way I will leave her here, its my utmost priority to bring Claire and her father to safety and there is no turning back! I am staying' Aizak thought.

When he was about to reply that he has decided to stay, "You really like me that much?" Asked Claire, dropping a major bombshell on him.

Aizak's chest started Aching, his hands got wet with warm sweat, the cuts on his back started giving a cool sensation as his power to think was stolen away from him, he tried to speak but words were stuck in his neck.

Claire sighed, "If you are here along with me, then you should know what this is all about. You see, my family belongs to a very old tribe which practiced magic. Our tribe was commonly known as Native Americans and we were famous for practicing wand less magic, but with time our senses dulled and only few descendants of the tribe were blessed with some abilities and with responsibility to pass it on, in order to make this world make better place and my mother was one among those few. She was blessed with the power to foretell, my powers came from her but works differently. Everything was good until she appeared as apocalypse for us!", Pointing upstairs, referring to the firm footsteps which seems to be searching for something, Claire told him, keeping her voice down.
