I pulled the covers of my bed tighter as I felt the cool air nipping at my skin. A low throaty groan that sure didn't come from me made me freeze and snap my eyes open. The light from the windows was blinding and it made my head hurt. It took a while but once my eyes had finally adjusted I realized, I was not in my room. After that I realized something much more important, I was naked.

My head pounded as I tried to remember what had happened the night before. The last thing I remembered was dancing. Everything after that was pretty much gone. I could remember parts here and there, but nothing that told me whose bed I was currently in. This was great. Just great. I had sex with a total stranger last night. Well actually, I don't know if the person I am currently lying in bed with is a stranger or not, seeing as I haven't worked up the courage to look at them yet.

Wait. OH MY GOD! I could have like an STD, or I could be pregnant or something. Oh man did I mess up, BIG TIME. I just hoped whoever it was used a condom, and that they were clean. Ok. I have to get up sometime, preferably before they wake up so I can get out of here. So might as well get up now. Then, get dressed.

I rolled over and sat up carefully, hoping not to wake up the sleeping figure next to me. First things first, where's my underwear? I need at least that to try and get out of here. I stood up searching for my underwear. I had to go bra-less last night because there is no bra on the face of the earth that would have worked with the dress I wore last night. I spotted my underwear on the other side of the room. I noiselessly inched across the room careful not to wake the sleeping stranger, and put on my underwear. Thankfully the floors were carpeted or else I would have a much more difficult time sneaking around.

Now that I had my underwear I need to find my dress. I was a woman on a mission searching quickly and quietly for my dress. After a few minutes of searching, I couldn't find it anywhere. I went back to the spot I found my underwear, because logically my dress would be somewhere nearby. I scanned the room for anywhere I hadn't searched. Desk, no, bookshelf, no, bedside table, no, bathroom, no, closet, NO! I had searched everywhere. Wait...the bed, it could be under the bed! It was risky, but I had to try.

I sneaked over to the bed and glanced at the mystery guy, checking to make sure I hadn't awaken him. I crouched down and lifted the blanket to get a look under the bed. It was hard to see anything, he had boxes under his bed blocking my view. I peeked my head under the bed in hopes to get a better view. I sighed realizing it was hopeless. How would my dress get behind the boxes under his bed?... It wouldn't, it just wouldn't.

I heard movement, and felt the bed shift. I quickly jerked my head trying to get up but I hit my head on the metal bed frame in the process. "Shit!" I exclaimed in pain. I quickly covered my mouth with my hand to keep me from screaming. My eyes started to tear up and I held one hand on my mouth and the other where I had just hit my head. The pain in my head from my hangover, mixed with being hit in the head.... Well I had never experienced anything quite as painful.

I heard another groan followed by more shifting coming from the bed. Panicking, I quickly pulled on a shirt that had been sitting on the floor nearby. I knew they had to be awake by now, I leaned against the side of the bed defeated.

After a few seconds of sitting I stood up deciding to continue the search for my missing dress. Just because they were awake doesn't mean I stop searching, it actually means I should search harder. As I was on my knees searching by the desk, a very familiar voice from the so called 'stranger' spoke up. "Missing something?" He questioned groaning, probably from the killer hangover he most likely had, just like me. I turned towards him slowly, my head pounding and spinning all at once. I swayed slightly as I stood before him while he watched me from his spot on the bed.

I was now less concerned with the dress that was nowhere to be found, but rather the person sitting on the bed. It was someone I hadn't seen in about three months, well until last night that is. If was as if I could feel the color drain from my face, I probably looked a ghost, but I clearly wasn't the only one in shock. His eyes were wide and his hand dropped from holding his head.

"S-sam?" I croaked, my throat seemed to have gone dry. Well, this just got a thousand times more complicated. I had just slept with the best friend of my ex-boyfriend I still had feelings for. Even though the feelings were definitely not as prominent as before, they were still there. And, as I have mentioned before, I still wasn't over him, and now? I slept with his best friend.

"Don't be loud you could wake up Lucas..." He warned. Oh. No.... "Are you telling me you guys are roommates?" I whisper yelled running my hands through my hair, resting them at the back of my head. He nodded cautiously as if he thought I would explode. I groaned bending over still holding my head.

I sat down, right in the middle of the room and looked up towards Sam pleading. "Can you, can you please go see if he's out there... if he's awake yet?" I didn't want to say his name in fear that I might start sobbing. He nodded again, "Yeah I'll go in just a sec, let me put on some clothes." I looked away quickly as he stood up to put on his boxers. When I looked back he had boxers on but was still shirtless. Damn, he had a really nice six pack. This is a crisis, get your head together...not the right time! My inner voice yelled at me. I bit my lip and looked away quickly before he noticed my ogling.

But it was too late as he noticed and smirked, "Like what you see?" he wiggled his eyebrows as he said it causing me to blush. I was surprised at how quickly the conversation went from serious to playful. I glared at him. "Do you really think now is the right time for that?" I whisper yelled to avoid answering his question. Though it didn't really work seeing as my blushing gave an answer very clearly.

"Oh and why are you wearing my shirt by the way?" he questioned. "I couldn't find my dress" I shrugged, "...and there is literally no way you can wear any sort of bra with that dress, so what was I supposed to wear...nothing?" I quietly replied as the pounding in my head got worse. He smirked once again "I would be perfectly fine with that." He winked at me. I just rolled my eyes in response. "Just go see if he's up so I can leave, and if you see my dress while you're out there please grab it." He nodded and silently left the room.

I looked over to see the clock on the bedside table read 11:16am. I know Lucas is an early riser, so it would be a miracle if he wasn't up by now. As Sam reentered the room he put a cup with water and a pill down on the bedside table. He turned to me and held the dress up, "Seriously though I don't remember you being a party person, or a short tight dress person..." He stated, using the same words he did last night during our little encounter. I ignored his comment.

He handed me the cup of water and aspirin that was on the table. I thanked him and quickly downed the pill not bothering to put my dress on yet. I looked at him expectantly after I finished drinking my water. He sighed, "He's up, but he said he was going out in a couple of hours, so you could leave then." He said, assuming I wouldn't want to be seen by Lucas. Which was completely correct.

I sighed standing up heading for his bed. If I was going to have to wait a few hours to leave, I might as well go back to bed and try to ease the pounding in my head. "Well I'm going back to bed wake me up when he's gone." I crawled back under the warm covers. "Who said I was going to be awake? My head feels like it's being hit with a hammer, soooo I'm going back to bed too." I felt the bed dip as he got into the bed with me. I was out before I had time to realize, if I wasn't up, and he wasn't up.... there wouldn't be anyone to tell me when Lucas leaves.
